I know this topic is kind of extremely off-topic on here, but I think the only guys who can possibly answer the question are those who own actual Chinese Type 56 rifles. There has been some hot debate as to the origin of the parts used on the airsoft guns sold by the RealSword company: the company is said to have (close?) ties with Norinco but, given the fact that airsoft guns are more or less illegal and considered "real" guns in mainland China, there could be at least some legal reasons for that. RealSword (RS) airsoft replicas are said to be the most realistic AK replicas you will ever find on the airsoft market and were rumoured to incorporate parts from real Type 56 rifles - I would like to know what your opinion is and whether you have first-hand knowledge of that. i own a MAK-90 i have had converted into a spiker with a real chicom underfolder/ spiker barrel. Holy shit those Airsoft Guns you posted have the same exact looking finish/ screws /stamps etc as my MAK di. I want to buy a few just for the CHU furniture (i bets its genuine) IMO - Those are Norinco OEM parts  Who currently has these in stock ? |

They're very hard to get and when you do they can push well into the cost of a real Type 56. Plus a lot of the parts, while likely actual Type-56 parts, are modified just enough where they don't work on real rifles. Although I think the spiker FSB was untouched. Supposedly they used actual Norinco receivers for their airsoft SVDs. There's one of those on eBay right now for 2k. |

Real Sword fell out of favor with the political elite in China, and are now a zombie company. FWIW, the did indeed use real Norinco parts in their guns, and were a viable source for parts until they got shut down. |

From what I have read here and there, RealSword are back, but on a much more modest scale - they are taking preorders but seem to have a hard time delivering the goods. Could that be the result of a more limited and less regular access to original (Norinco) parts? |
