Anyone seen one of these before? Any information on origin or what rifles they came on? A friend found this in his pile of parts. Possibly came from a russian kit.

That is an Egyptian rear sight from a military MAADI. They are common on the parts kits out there. The MAADI rifles intended for civilians were given the english numbering.
The arabic rear sight is kinda sought after by people that want their rifle authentic.
