10.5 inch barrel. Vortex flash hider tames the flames.

Only 23 inches long with the brace folded, so it fits under a loose fitting BDU top.

With a 2 moa dot Aimpoint, it can put 8 rounds into a 2/3 scale hostage taker’s dome at 50 yards and consistently ring a 10 inch gong at 250 yards.

Love at first shot.

I bought a barrel to build something similar and never got around to it. Looks like a good time.

I had a V51 P, the blast was impressive.

I shoot mostly at indoor ranges anymore, so the thought of that thing going off that close to my face is a hard pass. Plus the point of 308 is ballistics, if you neuter it you may as well go 300BO.

I took a CQB course about 10 years ago and one of the Dept of Energy security guys had a 12.5" ar10 in 308.   It was aweful tho be near him when he cranked that thing off

.308 PDW builds are great fun.

Yours is bigger than mine. My barrel is only 7.5 inches.

Pistol length gas?

Would you happen to know the gas port diameter?

It doesn't double-stack or throw lead at 250yds ... a Tromix 375 raptor bbl and a SFAR might change that though .

It's heavier but my RFB gives you full rifle velocity in a compact package.
I've been tempted by a 12.5" Rogue recently...

And I thought my 16s with brakes were obnoxious.....

I still want a 12.5 for general purpose badassery.

My bad. I thought you were talking about a 375 Raptor, not a SOCOM.
Still, nothing to laugh at.

Even in the shortest barrel lengths, a 308 will be substantially more powerful than 300 Chimpout.  YMMV.

I've heard a lot of goofy names for Blackout.  One I saw today was comical.  300Cosby.  It took me moment to get it.

But Chimpout seems suspect.  What exactly does that mean?

As for pure power, sure.  But just like many other calibers cut too short, the intangibles come into play.  The article gets into that later on.   Guess it depends on what you are trying to do with the weapon.

The RFB was my 1st thought on seeing OP's specs.

I could be wrong but I think translates roughly to 35 remingtonish out of the 10" bbl . It's not moving fast but it's alot of frontal area and sectional density.

FWIW, I made a few 7" 308 Saigas.  They functioned just fine, but didn't sell very well.  Only 3 or 4 were made.

Maybe not very PDWery , but a 12.5" 358 win SFAR seems appealing . The beating would keep the round count down and thereby help the economics.
