Doesn't get any better then this for an AR\M-16\M4 bayonet... US Marine Bayonet, Multi-Purpose, Ontario OKC3S http://www.knifecenter.com/knifecenter/ontario/images/on3s.jpg I concur. The USMC bayonet is nice. You can find them in the EE or Ebay for a decent price. |

Yes, the new USMC bayonet is a fine tool. I also really like the M9 and of course the good old M7.
FYI - A bayo won't properly fit onto a 16" barrel, it's too long. |

I have an A2 carb and noticed it would need and awefully long bayonet :( OOPS. Well maybe on my next one.... The way I see it I shouldnt need a bayonet any way. if they are close enough for a bayonet and I run out of ammo in the 1911 it will make a good club.

It is not the barrel length that defeats you, it is the carbine length gas system. Here is a pic of my mid length rifle where the my Buck M9 mounts up just like a standard rifle. Simply the distance from the muzzle device to the lug, or FSB. Yet another reason to own a middy! I understand there are some funky bayonets out there that will work with a carbine. |

So these new issue type bayonets will work on a 14.5" Carbine Gas, 16" Mid Gas and 20" Rifle Gas correct? I've always wanted on confirm this, just didnt want to start another thread. Did anyone notice the Bayonets on ebay coming from australia? They look like they'd work on our ARs, but are shaped differently. Also, the Smith & Wesson version bayonet (on ebay) says "ROC" on the blade. Does that stand for Republic of China? |

Why carry a condom or have posi trac rear end? Why 4 wheel drive? You never know if you may need it.

Huh!?[>:/]
I asked a question about the new M7 bayo I got for Christmas here. Nobody seemed to know what the pointy thing that sticks on a gun barrel was in this forum! |

The OP inquired about mounting a bayonet on "his Colt that has a 16" barrel w/ carbine length gas system". What does your middy and your FAG photo's have to do with this thread you twit |

You can get a barrel bayonet adapter that bolts on your barrel and has a bayonet lug but it still looks funny. Ask me how i know lol but just wanted to try and help you out a lil

Jr.,
That is a very interesting looking upper that you are looking to put a bayonet on. I do believe you need to PM me––- BTW guys––nice looking machines you all have there. Good to see we have lots of good patriotic Americans out there.––––––––––-Flattop Colt a.k.a. ––-Sr. |

I made the lug and Magazine cap. S&J Hardware sells a lug for a 870 that can modified to fit on the 1300 |

I have an M7 for mine, but every time I shoot, it falls off. Is my bayonet just defective, or does that happen to anyone else? |

I got an M7 on my middy, also have an extra with M8 scabbord, any idea what they're worth?

M9 on a 14.7" CMMG barrel. http://i192.photobucket.com/albums/z96/M4builder/ARFCOM/100_0026.jpg That's an M7 style, and it looks like the copies I sell. They're cheaper than standard, but seem to be decently made. The tang is threaded to the blade, however. (It's got the round rubber grip and the little white text that says "China." The original M7 handle bolts on. The oval in the handle says "UAE.") |
