For those wanting rails past the Switchblock...for longer sight radius, cool looks, or whatever your purpose, I'm guessing a Troy MRF-CX would work on a Carbine system. Being it has a 12" rail w/ a cutout for the FSB...and it's a two piece design so you don't have to slide the barrel down the rail. Would look pretty good w/ a 12.5" barrel. |

Since you seem to have had some recent contact with the good folks in Grants Pass, are we still expecting ONLY one model for 10.5"/carbine gas, and one model for 16"/midlength gas at the time they become available? |

The theory is the same as with their N4 barrels: Prevention of poor performance or failure of their products where such poor performance or failure was due to incompetent installation or use with out-of-spec or otherwise inferior or damaged associated components. |

| I just called Noveske and was told that in a month hopefully, they will be up on thier web site and ready to be ordered. They will only be available as complete rifles or complete uppers, I asked about just the barrel assembly and was told that they didn't when they would be offered like that. |

Wes, should we add this to my build or could we add it later? By "later" I mean after I win the lottery! Kidding aside, there's a 50/50 chance I'll add a suppressor down the road (hopefully before I win the lottery). Waddya think?  Oh...and are you SURE you don't have an extra DiamondBlack Ionbond barrel to stick on my rig?!?!? I'd be willing to wait a BIT extra for it.  Let's see...2 bits is 25...so a BIT would be 12 1/2. THE SWITCHBLOCK IS NOT AN "ADD LATER" PROPOSITION, I'M AFRAID. THE UPPER PICTURED ABOVE WENT TO THE RANGE TODAY. I COULD NOT RESIST SHOOTING IT FOR MORE THAN THE USUAL RELIABILITY CHECK. AFTER TEN ROUNDS, IT SETTLED DOWN (OR DID THE SHOOTER?!?) AND SHOT 3/4 MOA ... SUPPRESSED. NOT TOO BAD FOR A NEW, CHROME LINED, 28 OZ BARREL WITH A SUPPRESSOR HANGING OFF THE END.
