This is my first AR. I wish the M&P logo wasn't so pronounced on the magwell. I'm not a fan of the gold color. I would rather it be stamped or grey. I bought my flat top about a month ago. I didn't think I'd add anything to it, but the bug has bitten. I currently have a Troy drop in rail fore end, Ergo grip, and a CAA cheek piece. I also threw on a cheapo scope I found at a gun show. I have a MOLLE 42" case, 3 30rd and 2 20rd PMAGs I want an outdoor capable light, thinking a Surefire 962. My future plans include a good optic, haven't decided on Aimpoin/Eotech or something magnified. I want to try a Vltor Emod stock too. I got the CAA to try out the cheek weld and it's comfy. I've handled a few with Vltor stocks and they fit perfectly. I'll need some more PMAGs and plenty of ammo. This has definitely become a bigger money pit than I had imagined. Sometimes I think of selling it all. It's an addiction. I wish I had my own place to shoot anytime. That would make it a lot more worth it. The range gets boring to me. |

I got one of the first M&P15. Came with a carry handle. S/N 096**. Never had any problems at all. It is my personaly owned Duty Rifle. I am dress'n it out slowly but surely. I have an Aimpoint Comp ML2 4moa in an ARMS Mount with full spacer. I have some drop in rails that i bought off a buddy, along with a VFG. I have the rear BUIS on order now. I added the Houge grip. When I am done it will have: Freefloat handguards with flip down front sight. Magpul Enhanced trigger guard. Surefire Weapon light Surefire Laser. Either an ACE or Magpul stock. KNS pins Trigger job A good sling... I have tried several but havent found that perfect one yet. I also got the ARMS catilever spacer on order to replace the full spacer. Here's my M&P15, picked it up Tuesday. Ran 460 rounds through it the next day(mix Q3131 and PMC Bronze 55 gr.) not one FTF or FTE. Paid $1150 at Academy for it and will be getting 2 free mags from S&W instead of the money rebate. I plan on added a BUIS and some type of reddot optics as well as a rail handguard and VFG and thats it. Gonna leave it simple and not have it look like a swiss army knife, just doesn't float my boat. So, I own an M&P 15 so I poked my head into this thread and I just realized something
Certain model M&P 15s (cannot figure out which) display the caliber underneath where it says "Model M&P15" while others do not. My rifle in particular does not have it engraved on the side...any reasoning behind that? |

Heres mine. Nothing much done to it so far, just attached the Knights Armament front grip my buddy brought back from Iraq. M&P15X 16" Carbine. Besides maybe a few accessories, not likely to mess with this one much. Bought a M&P15 stripped lower today for a build. Pic of that as well.
