A stock AR trigger will smooth out a little over time, but I wouldn't expect a huge improvement.  Some people send their triggers out to Bill Springfield for trigger work.  It's not too hard to take a stone to smooth out the engagement surfaces.  15 minute trigger job if you feel up to it.

Personally, I have a Accuracy Speaks, JP, and Gieselle trigger in my ARs/15-22.

A smooth and light trigger can make a big difference.

Thanks for the info. I may try to do some basic trigger work. I have corrected push off on a S&W revolver and done some other minor stuff. I just don't want to go full auto. I will probably end up with a new trigger down the road but an not ready to put out $200 right now. I know the accuracy would improve big time.

A real simple fix is to throw in a JP light hammer spring.  It drops the pull to about 5 lbs.  It's recommended to cut off the tail of the hammer to reduce mass, otherwise in a few thousand rounds you get light primer strikes.

This was covered on page 2 of the thread.

I can't give you enough credit on how professionally you respond to some of the "inquiries".
+1 to you being a complete class act, and it looks like your doing pretty well based on your absolutely outstanding CS, quality control, shipping and products.
Regardless of where your products are from, or what factory their made in, you guys are an American company, and I support you.

I got one last week and posted a pic of it behind my PVS22.

I have used a lot of cheap optics, and some pricier equivalents over the last ten years.

I am not a fan of magnified optics, because they make it harder, for me, to pick up a running hog at 25 yards.  I prefer a simple aim-point style, unmagnified.

but, I needed something compact to go with the night vision unit, and space was my main concern.

I like this scope.  I like that I really don't 'need' to turn on the illuminated reticule.  IMHO, it is too bright, even on LOW, but I don't mind having the feature, even if I don't need it.

As someone else mentioned, the focus is tight.  But, it works, and stays where I left it.  Same with the illumination knob, it's tight, but it also does not get bumped 'ON' by mistake.

I looked for other 'budget' reddots, and more expensive ACOG/Aimpoints before I made this purchase.  I waited, for months, to get this unit.  I had a level of concern with waiting, and hoped this scope would fill a niche for me.

Overall, this scope is exactly what I needed.  Compact.  3X.  Good Glass.  Extra Features.

I still prefer Aimpoint style glass, and I own two other Primary Arms red dot units that are unmagnified.  I still use them on other rifles.

For 200.00 I got more quality than I expected.  A couple of features that surprised me (rails, carry-handle mountable, Ranged Reticule).

For under 200.00 shipped/taxed it's a helluva good deal.

I am considering purchasing another unit to use on a .308 for night time predator hunting.

My comment is nothing negative. Your company is awesome. I ordered my last scope from you guys (vortex Viper) and you price matched free shipping and a coupon, and got it to me in two days.

its just before your edit your response had some humor and sarcasm in it

Received the scope today. The reticule was really blurry, but I put on my Glasses everything just cleared up. Great invention glasses.
The scope its self is put together well does not add very much weight. Sighted in at 50 yards, two adjustments zero. I like it.
Now all I need is the quick detach ADM. How does one get coupon's?

Have you done any cold weather tests with it?  I want to use it as a hunting optic but it wont do if it cant handle below 15degrees.

After two hours in a freezer the illumination still works and no ill effects.

Would it be possible to run a red dot in front of this optic? Not saying that that is my desired setup...but hypothetically speaking, could you slap it on behind a really forward sitting dot and be able to see?

Won't work that way. You would not see the dot.

Would you see the compact scope reticle or dot?

This made me laugh.

I have read the thread. I was hoping people would post pics of their scopes on their rifles. I'm curious to see what rifles people are using them on.
Sometimes I just need eye candy to take my mind off work during my breaks.

What I'm getting at is: Could I keep my dot on my gun and run the compact scope behind it on a QD and still be able to use the scope? I don't need to be able to see the dot when looking through the scope, just the scope reticle, then if I want unmagnified, just QD the scope?

I will have to try it but if you run a small red dot all the way forward on a quad rail you could probably get a decent sight picture. I think you would be a lot happier just putting the red dot in a QD and taking it on and off.

You know it actually works pretty well and with a Micro Dot all the way forward. You can also see the dot fairly clear with it mounted that way. Glad you stayed on me until I tried it.

Very nice. Thank you for trying that out for me.

In concept, it's not much different than using a red dot infront of a 3x magnifier. It should work with a micro dot right infront of it, too.

Hi Marshal,

I think the Burris AR-332 is 1 year warranty, not a lifetime warranty.

Thanks,
Cal

Interesting. Looks like a Burris AR-332 clone.

It is clearly a similar body casting to a AR-332. Sharing the raw casting is pretty common among Asian factories. becasue of the price of the mold to make them. We see that with red dots but the quality can vary greatly. We used as high quality internals as we could and still keep the price point well under $200. The glass is far better than our previous compact model. I have not done a head to head comparison with the Burris. We proudly sell them but like most dealers can't keep them in stock. The Burris has a lifetime warranty, ours has a one year warranty. We plan to continue to offer both.

I saw on your web site you have the option to add a front and rear lense cover to this sight.

Do you have any pictures of what it looks like with the covers on it?

About to order one and just not sure if I should add the covers or not.

Thank you

I was wondering the same thing. Can this be used with both eyees open for close quarters like a red dot ? I'm trying to decide if I want to add a 3X to my M3 clone or
buy this 3X compact My 50 year old eyes do not see the far off targets without magnification it seems.

This will used for killing paper zombies at the range only in the 50 to 200 yard range , unless the unthinkable happens and I need to use it to protect my home.  I have never looked through a low power scope like this (acog type)

Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

The beauty of this sight is that it can mount on a carry handle and still be able to use the iron sights. Then when you need to, you look up through the optic for the longer range targets.

That is what sold me on this unit. No need for a back up sight when you can have 2 sets of sights at the same time. Carry handle irons, and the 3x optic on top.

I mean what's not to like?

I've used both red-dots (Aimpoint and clone) and magnified optics (ACOG and similar clones) to hunt hogs in the past.  Both work differently.  Each can be used with both eyes open, but any magnification takes some training to get good with it using a two-eyes-open approach.

I killed two hogs, wounded three others, over the weekend using the 3x clone.  Once you learn to use two-eyes-open you will do fine with this optic as well.

FWIW, the built in BDC works pretty good with 9mm subsonic.  When the 3x is zeroed at 25yds, the lowest crosshair puts me on again at 100 yds.
