Did I miss a pic of the Keltec .308? Did you have time to hit their booth as well?

Thanks for all the great pics. It seems your coverage is routinely the best every year.

I did not make it to the range.. the little Reed got upset at me for posting pics of his father's collection on line three years ago..  anyhow, you can guess why I miss the range day.. LOL  for all the good thing I do for KAC and this. oh well.

SMGLee

with respect to your notes on the Colt 10 series monolithic rifles, did you by chance break any of them down to see if they were using the UDT coatings yet? Or was there any word of it?

I did bump into you a couple times at the SS, and literally broke out in a great big grin when I saw all the pic-snappin' going on.

It was all the confirmation I needed that you'd come through for the enthusiasts here.

Great shots, insightful observations.

thanks again!

That's a shame.

You have been nothing more than a KAC champion.  I would think all KAC employees who are familiar with you would thank you for promoting their products with detailed reviews on websites such as these.

I hope I get a chance to meet you in Vegas next year.  It will be my first SHOT Show.

I worked pretty damn hard on this thread, I rather you don't turn this into a bashing of some kind.  ARMS or not.. At least Brain was kind enough for someone that bad mouthed ARMS to take pictures and hang out a bit.  That sure wasn't my reception at KAC by Reed the third...

SMG - My post was not an attempt to bash anybody. It's just something that struck me as funny. That said, I can see why my post bothered you and I apologize. I would have edited out myself but I see I was beat to it. (too bad the mods aren't as quick to edit all the other BS that gets posted in the tech forums but that's another story )

Anyway, I just wanted to apologize to you and thank you for all the pics and info you provide us

If you really want to get back at KAC, you should make a political statement and send me your URX in disgust

SMGLee,

I tagged this a few days ago, and have been reading along.

Thanks for the pics and reviews - very nice.

I didn't see anything related to Trijicon/optics.  Did they have anything new?  I have an idea for an optic, and will write to Trijicon in a day or so with my idea.  Probably another lead balloon, but what the heck...I know exactly what I want, and there is nothing on the market exactly like it.

Also, I searched for info on that Aimpoint M4 and found nothing.  If you happen to have a link or something...

Thanks, again.

Okay guys... This concludes my picture tour... next time, somebody should at least buy me dinner for all this work... LOL.. just kidding.

Hope you guys enjoy it and see you all next year at Shot Show 2008 in Vegas.

Outstanding!

Unless I missed it, you didn't say who made the standalone mount that the LMT M203 was mounted to (you identified the grip, but not the standalone shoulder / pistol grip adaptor).  It wasn't the KAC was it?  I didn't think KAC had a version for the rail-mount M203.

Does anyone know the answer to this question?

Mr. Lee,

First, thanks for bringing us all the Show related goodness. It's the next best thing to being there.

Second, thanks for mentioning LWRC objectively. I love mine, and am glad to see someone post about the rifle and it's performance, without the politics and innuendo.

On that note, I think it's telling that the products of the major manufacturers getting all the attention seem to be piston guns.

That reminds me...I've got 500 rounds of Guat and free range time...gotta go pack up.

Thanks again.

Pastry out.

There was some special run-dry coatings inside the 1020 at last year's Shot Show when Ken broke it down for me...

I think that's UDT's UltraCem coating, no?

One of the highlights of this ar15.com board over the last few years is SMGLee's SHOT Show picture threads.

I keep going back to the saved threads I've kept every now and again to show friends what the latest gear is, and from whom, and when, it will appear...

Thanks very much for posting the pics SMGLee and please don't sweat the small stuff on the thread... nor keep it from posting again next year.

cheers

I was on that particular range shortly after it happened.  No high drama.  Tarus was running all their new polymer guns and the 1911.  Not 100% on what happened, they mentioned it, but said nobody got hurt.  I think wrong caliber round in the wrong gun.

There werent any coatings on these this year.  I asked specifically then broke down the guns.  They looked standard to me.  The Colt rep said the production guns would have it.  I'd really like a 1033, very light.  I was also super impressed with the newest gen SR15.  LaRue's booth was of course sweet.  The range trip to KAC was awesome.  Shooting the Knights XM110 prototypes was great.  Wish they were available.  We also shot the MRP out there, any one know why the recoil has so litle muzzle rise?  It was fun!

It was "puddles of blood" coming out of a somebody's bullet-in-the-cheek face wound. ???

Huh,  Then you heard differently.  Perhaps they downplayed it so we'd keep shooting.  There was a big row of steel targets, perhaps they started out closer and someone ate a fragment.  Just passing what I heard, probably wrong.    SR25 with the suppressor and the thermal weapon sight was where it was at anyway.

Mark, or anyone else in the know;

I haven't heard anything else from shot, but I am wondering if Larue has any plans of releasing a quad rail non free float forearm? Thanks for any help.

Cheers,

Phil
