Some answers to some of the questions. Yes the stock will fit an AR10 but you will need a half inch stock extension piece so you can use the longer AR10 charging handle with the cheek piece elevated. Closed the stock is about an A1 length LOP (A2 if used on an AR10) and it opens an inch. This design can be adapted for a M9 buffer version (notice the top of the cheek weld is the same contour as a M93 stock). But this design is cleaner as it allow a flush fitting cheek piece unavailble to the M9 buffer tube. |
Also note that the AR10 has an additional approx 0.75" between the rear surface of the receiver and the pistol grip, so the LOP will be increased by this also. I figured that an M93's P3 on an AR10 was about the same as an A1 on the AR15. -z |

What material is it made out of
Well, the "robot leg" M93 started the robot theme at Magpul: And with the adjustable butt plate and cheek-piece as well as the accessory rail for attaching bipods (or whatever), the M95 seems to continue the robot theme with a "Transformers" flavor. Could something like this be next on the agenda? Nice work as always, Magpul. |

If it were to be set up for a short receiver extension, ie for use with a H buffer and spring, then LOP adjustment would be in more useful range. I have a 6.5/6.8 project that I am putting together now (planning on using a Crane stock) and don't really see the need for a stock with adjustments from A1 length to A2 length. Good looking item just the same..... |
It will be adaptable to use with the M9 receiver extension in the future. But I do agree that there isn't much use in only being able to collapse/extend from A1 to A2 LOP. |
THe difference from A1 to A2 is about half an inch the stock travels another half inch passed an A2. Production version might be able to go longer still. This stock was designed for target shooters who generally like a longer LOP |

I really like the new adjustable stock, as well, but what originally attracted me to the system, was the ability to change stocks for mission adaptibility, same as changing out an upper. To be able to attach this stock to the same tube as my collapsible, was a big part of my decision to go with the Magpul system. I'd really like to see the stocks that were promoted with that system come to fruition one of these days.  I'm wondering if some kind of cut under the cheek piece would allow an AR10 Charging handle to be fully operational with it raised, too. |
I don't think so (looks like a direct replacement for the A2), but I could be wrong. ETA: Looks like I was wrong:
