Could you by chance do a velocity comparison between Triarc, noveske stainless steel, and say colt? This test would see how much difference if any in terms of velocity can be attributed to polygonal or single edge rifling versus normal button.

I was actually thinking about doing something like that when the weather warms up. I prefer to do comparative chronographing inbetween 70-80 degrees F for apples to apples comparisons.
Until then, the table below shows a velocity comparison between a 16" Colt with a 5.56 NATO chamber, a stainless steel 16" Noveske RECON with a Noveske Match Mod 0 chamber and a 16" Krieger with a match chamber.

Mine shoots like a laser with 69 grain SMK

Awesome evaluation. I have two of these barrels, one 14.5 and a 16" that was cut down to 14.8" for my Radian model 1 build.

For the price, it certainly punches above its weight (with the 55 grain BlitzKing).

What's the gas port diameter on the 14.5" barrel?

If he doesn't know or doesn't get back, Triarc responded to me within hours when I asked about official gas port size of the 16". I was afraid yours might have been small or maybe they changed. They confirmed .070 to me. Their 12.5 is .078 per them as well.

If an AR-15 barrel won't shoot well with at least one of the Sierra 52 grain, 55 grain, 69 grain or 77 grain bullets, then odds are the barrel is the problem.
I would love to try one of their barrels in our R2000, but they are sold out of the 16" barrels.

And Bauer Precision delivers those promptly.
That TRIARC 16" is next up for a assembly.
I rolled the dice , based on Molon's results.

Here’s a quick demonstration showing how much even a barrel that isn’t considered a precision barrel can benefit from using handloads vs “mil spec” ammunition. The first 10-shot group pictured below was fired from my TRIARC Track 2.0 using my standard handload topped with Sierra 55 grain BlitzKings. The group has an extreme spread of 0.72” and a mean radius of 0.23”.
After firing several seasoning rounds, I fired a 10-shot group of IMI M193. That group has an extreme spread of 2.44” and a mean radius of 0.86”.

The right ammo makes a difference. But I love the Triarc barrels.

FYI, My just purchased 16" Mid-length Track 2.0 has a .069 GP size.
I don't have a .0695 pin gauge, But that is close enough for me.

I'll be curious to see what you think about how gassy it is? Mine is gassier than I expected for the port size, with a YHM Turbo T2 on the end.

Duly noted. I don't have a suppressor , but I can borrow one at the range.
It may be a little bit before I get it assembled , so bear with me, please.
