Anyone hear anything tangible? Or just another Aimpoint big question mark?

A guy I've dealt with a few times at Euro Optic told me they expect them late summer, for whatever that's worth.

Thanks for posting this. Was wondering myself. I guess I won’t hold my breath for eurooptics to get them in.

Rooftop Defense says "Estimated to be in-stock in August, 2021". I would take that with a grain of salt although it aligns will "late summer".

I'm really interested in the C model and street price. Going to grab a few if they're not unreasonable on the $. Even though not USA made, better than Chinese.

I asked today in the chat function on the US Aimpoint site. They said end of the year.

Quoted: It's times like this where I bail on the product and just roll with something else. I'll probably just get one whenever next year. View Quote I already sold my RMR and FCD plate, and bought the FCD Arco plate. Just going to wait it out. I don't want to go back to a RMR and don't want to get a holosun. Going to be a long wait |

I have been regularly checking in with some of the largest US Aimpoint dealers since the P2 announcement earlier this year. Initially Aimpoint quoted them a release date of Summer, then August, then October, then late 2021 and as of this week they said they can't get a date from Aimpoint. Given the largely self inflicted wounds the West and especially Europe is dealing with (energy, labor, transport and material shortages to name but a few), I am not ready to blame Aimpoint for this yet. Anyway, I am still hoping I can get a few P2 units this year, but I am still holding onto my last couple RMR units.

Any update on these?
Also, do you think there will be any durability differences between the C-2 and P-2? Is it just NVG compatibility that's the difference? |

Quoted: That's disappointing. Where did you hear/read that? View Quote The C1 and C2 SKUs are not listed in any North American Aimpoint retailers database that I know of, nor are they listed on the US Aimpoint site. You can find the Acro C series on the Aimpoint Global site and you can order the C1 from online retailers in the EU. However, a C1/C2 from the EU will likely cost you much or more than a P1/P2 ordered from a US retailer. |

That's too bad. The specs on the C2 are more than adequate for civilian use.
Regardless, I'm hoping they release something soon, as I've been patiently waiting for 4-5 months. |
|
The wait is getting really annoying. Really starting to considering the 509T X2
So talked to EuroOptic, they said "still showing late October, we should know pretty soon when they arrive. maybe a week or two" |

View Quote I would like to know the sales numbers between the Micro H-2 and T-2. I'm guessing consumers would rather pay a little more for something more durable and more features. Maybe Aimpoint would rather import and sell just the P-2 to North America to save on overall costs. |

Quoted: H2 is rated to 15 feet submerged in water. T2 is rated to 80 feet. View Quote |
|
Quoted: The situation is similar with the C2, being rated to 15 feet, while the P2 is rated to 115 feet which exceeds even the T2 rating. The seals on an enclosed emitter pistol optic which has to endure repetitive and high recoil stresses are quite important as compromises can lead to internal fogging which can take the optic out of action. I had some ingress issues on one of my P1 units, so I am happy to see, at least on paper, a higher submersion rating on the P2. View Quote That’s strange that they’d use different seals on the NV and non-NV models. That’d seem only to complicate the production line. In fact, I’m not even sure why they make non-NV versions in the first place. Are people scared of accidental NV mode activation? |

Just an FYI to everyone...the release got delayed to Jan/Feb 2022. Confirmed by Euro Optic.

Quoted: I'm getting really tempted to cancel my preorder but I've waited too long at this point to just give up and buy a 509t View Quote If I didn't already get my slide milled back in july for it after I pre ordered in June anticipating the original "late summer" release I would cancel my pre order |

For you guys going the enclosed route, are you concerned that open reflex sights will be taken out of action too easily?
|
|
Quoted: For you guys going the enclosed route, are you concerned that open reflex sights will be taken out of action too easily? View Quote Yes. If you’ve ever used an open sight, rmr, or eotech, you’ll realize as soon as you step away from a sunny flat range you realize the things taken out with a rain drop, or mud. An rmr will work concealed because it’s not likely to get rain or dirt concealed, |

At this rate some people will be getting their suppressors they bought around the announcement before these get released
