Quoted:
The first time I saw one was during a layover at the airport in Danang. There was a dog handler dressed in tigerstripes, sitting on the floor in the corner. He had a muzzled, mean-looking German Shepherd lying on the floor next to him, and his XM leaned up against the wall. The guy just sat there for what seemed like hours sharpening a Gerber Mark II. I hadn't been in country that long, and that's one of the images that stays with me to this day.

My next-door neighbor was up in I-Corps with the 5th Group - multiple tours of duty, Silver Star recipient - the works.  We were having a chat one afternoon and I ended up showing him my E2; you guys should have seen the look on that man's face.  It was as if he'd been reunited with a long-lost little brother.

Hey Cornish, she shoots just as good as she looks too.

Where are you guys finding the collapsable buttstocks for these XM-177's? Does anyone make a copy of an original?

Thanks,

Hal

The only original Colt anodized aluminum stock I have ever seen outside of a museum is on my GAU-5/A build pictured above, as for the coated stocks, they are out there you just have to watch for them and have the $$$ to buy when you find one. Copies do exist but I only buy Colt. Good Hunting!

Thanks m1!
