I had this thing out at the range a couple of weeks ago. I put it together back in 2010 and have only shot a couple of thousand rounds through it since - without cleaning - since I have a lot of other ARs and rarely take more than one at time to the range.
It is a Bushmaster I bought during the AWB in 2001 and one of 2 ARs to which I added an AA piston kit (the other one is on the previous page of this thread). Attached File Attached File Attached File |

Just got my Gen 2 BRN-180 upper in today. Crazy smooth action, looking forward to zeroing this weekend. The SB Tactical folding hinge is pretty decent, low profile and easy operation, bottom edge of the cheek comb contacts the bumper, so it doesn't directly contact the receiver. I thought the EOTech being mounted over the ejection port might cause me to bust my knuckles on it while charging, but was pleasantly surprised that this is not the case.
