Building a 12.5 pistol. I've built 16" before but got a couple questions. I've got a aero lower in green and it's a sick color so I'm gonna stick with aero parts for upper and handguard. Their handguards are measured end to end so I would think that the 11.4" instead of the 12.7" would be the right choice? I'm gonna toss a huxwrx flash hider and a hux can on it. was thinking a geissele barrel and their h2 buffer/spring what else would you do if this was your build? Not looking to skimp on parts price wise (aero parts I know but I've have great luck with their upper/lowers) |

Yes, 11.4" would be the better of the two lengths to ensure you clear your muzzle device. The rule of thumb is no more than .5" less than the barrel length, so you're good to go. You just missed out on geissele 12.5" chf cl barrels for $249 at PA, sold out now. Regardless, i believe it would be a great barrel to get so much so that I got one on sale and am also building a 12.5" pistol around it. The rest is really to personal taste and budget. |
