Custom Noveske Light Carbine with 9" VIS upper and Switchblock
AAC Blackout flash suppressor, 14.5" chrome lined barrel finished with KG Gunkote in black, VIS upper and lower receiver have been finished in a custom "parkerized black" color (KG finish was all done in-house at Noveske). That's a Vortex SPARC red dot on it...not terrible, but I think I'm going to do an Eotech w/magnifier sooner or later. I thought about doing the skinny profile barrel (a la Thunder Ranch and Skinny MOE), but decided to stick with the standard lightweight (M4 minus the 203 notch) profile. I also had a nearly identical 18" SPR upper built to go with it...you can check it out in the "Big NOVESKE Picture Thread" on page 44. P.S. That's Hornady TAP 62 grain Ballistic Tip ammo (nickel plated cases), not cheap steel case ammo! 
Note about the Magpul BAD lever These pics were taken prior to shooting this rifle. The bolt kept staying open on with ammo left in the mag, so I'm assuming the Magpul BAD lever is a "no go" on the new Noveske forged flared lower receiver. I took it off and will try shooting it again this weekend, but I would not buy a BAD lever for this lower until you hear someone say it works. |

My FrankenAR that ended up turning into an 80% Spikes build.
Magpul goodies. Spikes Tactical CHF Elite middy 14.5 with a pinned Vortex. Spikes Nickel Boron BCG Spikes Pirate stripped lower PSA LPK PSA mil-spec buffer tube Spikes ST-T2 buffer BAD lever. 
The build is done but there are still a few small things that I want to do to it. |
