All, I've been wanting to put together an 18" 6mm ARC upper for longer range precision shooting, as well as anti-coyote and anti-hog shooting as well. I'm planning on using a Noveske 18" stainless barrel with the rifle length gas system, as well as my 30-caliber Enticer S Titanium suppressor. I've seen a lot of people mention that the VLTOR A5H2 buffer system is a good choice for the cartridge, but does anyone have any experience with using the full rifle length buffer system with 6 ARC? I have a NM lower that I built with the hope of competing in CMP matches, but time constraints with work have prevented that thus far. It has the rifle length recoil system, as well as the really great Geissele NM trigger. Just wondering if it would be a good choice, or if I should swap it over to the VLTOR system once the upper is together. Thanks for any insights! |
My build has an 18" SOLGW barrel and I've got a Griffin adjustable gas block that I drilled my own ports on (using .070 for now). I am running an Enticer S with .30 cal end cap. I've got a Geissele Super 42 rifle spring with standard rifle buffer. It is a very smooth setup!

I have a rexus 20" rifle length gas 6 arc barrel paired with a rifle length recoil system (arfx stock) and small muzzle brake (jcb trident 2 port mini brake). I've replaced the aluminum spacer in the rirle buffer with two additonal steel weights from a spare carbine buffer to bring the rifle buffer weight up to like 6.15 ounces and i use a tubbs flatwire spring. It ejects 103 eldx and 108 eldm beautifully at 1630 and barely moves. |
