Neat idea. I think I would put a block of material, fill the gap above the trigger guard to eliminate a huge snag point. Fix the grip angle or grip mount block so un-modified pistol grips work. Magpul K2 is perfect for this application.

Does it have an external trigger bar? That long shiny thing in the side looks a bit odd.
