Hello anyone know where one of these tools can be found? They seem pretty rare.

Thanks

Wow that’s awesome any chance you’d be willing to put a micrometer to it and share some dimensions?

NSN 5220-00-233-8937
https://www.wbparts.com/rfq/5220-00-233-8937.html

They're not common at all. Looks like the DLA provided 1 in 2019 and 2 in 2020 (to the entire military).
They do seem to only be produced by Rock Island Arsenal. No other contractors are listed.

Some dimensions are listed (2.545 in. lg; 0.945 in. W) but Idk where to find the specs.

Edit: That Form 3023 in the background isn't bad...

Well there's a million-dollar idea for someone. Another AR thing that nobody needs, but everybody will buy.

So, what you're saying is pretty soon everyone is going to need one. There might be some money to be made with that.

My goal is to have these made (along with 0% lowers) that’s why I was asking for dimensions

It's still not needed, if you're capable of milling it correctly in the first place.

I doubt any of the big CNC shops have them.
Certain companies who produce their lowers in-house might use them (for QA).

I’d imagine this would be useful for smaller/custom shops not the big mass production companies.

Just depends on what their QA program is like.

Many places do not have much of one.
Most small shops have their receivers produced by a larger manufacturer (with a marking variance).

That is not the gauge you want for manufacture.  That is a re-build serviceability gage.  It is used to see if a lower will still accept a magazine.

If you are going for 0% building and want a gage for the magazine well, you want P/N 8443881 - Gage, Plug, Special (Magazine Opening), and 8443595 - Gage, Location (Magazine Catch).

You might also want the other 80-some-odd gages for the M16 lower receiver.
