I've been enjoying shooting stuff with their Sabre 300BLK (110 and 220), but I haven' seen the 220s come n anything larger than a 20. Just sign up for AAC/PSA's mailing list and watch for a few bucks off. I buy a little each month, sale or no, and it adds up. I have occasionally seen some other deals come by on Reddit's gundeals, or others here, but nothing consistent. Many of them are pretty small companies I've never heard of. Recently was Minuteman Munitions 220gr TMJ for $180/300. Looks decent but took 6 weeks to arrive. |

Any experiences with: 300 AAC Black Out 220gr Subs (Brass Kisses) Stryker 300 AAC Blackout 220 gr TMJ (American Marksman) Remington UMC 300 Blackout 220 Grain Open Tip Flat Base (Berelli Dist) Im pretty sure the first two are boutique / re-manufactured which I have no experience with. |

Not with those. There's a lot of small firms cranking out stuff, might be awesome, might blow up your gun. Really dig for reviews, or try a few to see. The Remington has a generally poor rep for accuracy IIRC, but I haven't tried it extensively. Some day I have about 12 variants to test in various rifles. Here's a list from my ammo inventory for subsonic, I haven't tried all of these yet. My favorite until getting the AAC was the PNW Arms, one of those small firms. I have 2 10.5 builds to test ammo with - neither of which I can afford to see blow u. Is re-manufactured generally a bad idea? From Amercan Marksman: "Stryker 300 AAC Blackout subsonic ammunition consists of mixed brass, Boxer primers, and 220-grain TMJ projectiles. We utilize new 5.56/.223 brass that has been REFORMED into 300 BLK brass." Id like to think this doesn't mater, but reforming a projectile designed to do one thing into another projectile meant to do another seems sketch. Its half the price, but I dunno. |

That looks better than some I've seen Small firm probably not a problem, but you never know. It's just a risk like buying a taco from the street cart... could be awesome. Specifically above they are talking about making 5.56 brass into 300BLK brass, which is completely normal although it is still a process that can be screwed up. It used to be the only way to get/make 300BLK brass. It's just the brass, not the projectile. |
