Rummaging through the safe and came across the AR10 parts (upper lower mags etc) I bought during the ScamDemic. I then realized I will never build it up. Question, are the parts worth selling or just box the back up and forget about them for another couple of years? |

I just dug out one of mine in 6.5 Manbun. Gonna use it for hogs this weekend. Primary Arms 2.5 prism on top. Should work plenty well. If it is what you need/want it can still be a thing. |
If you think I am sexy now just wait until you find out I have full medical and dental.

Fucking hell...Been sitting on an AR10 Aero lower for years now waiting to put it together. Never got one of their uppers because I could tomorrow and now that option is out the window. WTF happened to Aero?! Knew them idiots should have listened to me when I told them to drop the stupid billboard A on the receiver. |

No, Aero hasn't gone belly up yet. Aero (and its sister companies Ballistic Advantage, Stag Arms, and VG6) went into general receivership in May with J.S. Held LLC as the appointed receiver (a receivership means a neutral third party is assigned by the court as receiver and takes custody, control, and management of the property, assets, or business). They say that Aero and Ballistic Advantage are still up and running, although fulfillment and shipping is running slower than normal (they probably lost a bunch of employees). Unlike bankruptcy, receivership is not initiated by the company, its the result of a civil filing by creditors, shareholders, or regulators when they think a business is being mismanaged or has become insolvent. The company has stated it is unclear if assets will be available for disbursement to unsecured creditors. That's not good. They're definitely in financial trouble. If a buyer is found, the company's debts have to be handled. The seller could pay off the debt with cash prior to closing on the sale, the buyer could assume the debt, or the debt could be paid at closing through escrow out of the seller's proceeds before being released to the seller. So, basically, they're in financial trouble and their creditors stepped in out of fear of losing their money. Why they're in trouble could be due to several issues. |

Big Aero M5 platform fan here... hope someone in the NEAR future picks up the ball and runs with it, especially the OD and FDE anodized stuff. I say the AR10 is still a thing... I mainly hunt with a variety of Aero M5 based rifles in .243 Win; .308 Win; .338 Federal; 7mm-08; and .358 Win. Not to mention a dozen others in various configurations. |

Seriously I wonder why no one at referred to their "AR-10" as an SR-25? AR-10s have ALWAYS been my thing since the late 90s when I could afford them and I've never looked back... |

Eagle preceded Arma-IL, it wasn't until after Jeanelle was able to purchase the TM for Mark that they quit stamping Eagle on their guns. In their beginning they did not sell receivers separately and later only as blems. |

Make it a project. About 10 or 12 years ago I bought a DPMS LR 308 and had it immediately barrel swapped I to a 24" fluted .338 Federal. After years went by and I realized that .338 federal ammo was not only getting rarer but more expensive I decided to put the factory 308 barrel back on so I did. The main reasons were availability of ammo and the shorter barrel is more appealing to me at this point. Now I have a very practical AR platform .308. If I were you I'd build one if not I'd sell the stuff because it's not going to do anything sitting around but be useless and get in your way. At least that's how it is with me lol |

Did you see the post about why nobody has anything in stock right now, and I don't mean just aero? This is a bad time to be in the gun business and nobody is going to chase opportunity there because there isn't any. Whatever chance anyone thinks there might have once been, PSA has taken all the oxygen left in the room. The vultures will feed. End of Aero, end of story. Most are just going quietly. |

Those pins are hard to find Do you mind explaining the pins? I compared a DPMS front pin and an Aero pin and the Aero was slightly longer. You say you prefer Armalite. Is Mega compatible with anything and how does parts selection differ between DPMS and Mega? I assume mostly the barrel and BCG will be the parts that are affected? Thanks. |

It’s heavy enough that it’s a bench gun only, but I’ve sure enjoyed shooting it over the years. |

I built an Aero M5 in .308 several years ago. It's definitely a fun gun to shoot. One of these years I'll get around to trying to hunt with it. It looks like Aero was bought out recently as well. https://www.aeroprecisionusa.com/a-new-era |

RIP LarryG Btw, I built two AR10 clones or AR308s during the pandemic. Yes, LarryG who hate me saying AR10s again. A hybrid lower that took the Armalite upper cut but used DPMS parts. Mag well is tight. Will reject ASC mags but no problem with Magpul, Hexmag or DSG mags. Also built a M5 after that because of of the lower built in features. |
