For reference, I have had a Super Selektor installed in one of my builds for around 3 months. I have only done around 6 mag dumps with it installed. So far it has been 100%. The Atrius took me around an hour to get to successfully function test, and run. I had to lightly sand the trigger shoe, and dremil out the rear of the upper receiver. I just received two Arc fire V2 on Tuesday. One, I got to function test ok, but will not run 100% in arc mode. It will dump 5 or 6 rounds then dead trigger. On the stoppage, It looks like light strikes on the primer. For reference, this is a RRA LAR-15, DD 16” chf barrel, BCM sourced upper, BCM full auto bcg, H-3 buffer, Tubbs flatwire spring. The RRA LAR 15 lower must be an early receiver because it is a high rear shelf receiver. I dremiled a notch out of the rear shelf enough to get it to function test, but I do not think I took it far enough for reliable operation…I will be taking it back further in a little bit, and live fire testing a little later. Hopefully it works. ![]() My 2nd Arc fire was not even close to being successful in any way. I worked on that one for hours, and cannot get nothing but semi auto to work. Anyway, at the end, I was taking it apart to swap precut triggers with the RRA just to see wtf is outta spec, and it looks like a part of the selector barrel broke off, lol. M2Tool steel broken by 7075t6 aluminum??? I don’t think the heat treat took. So guy’s and gal’s….WTF am I missing? Everywhere on the internet everyone praises the Arc fire v2! Like is so far superior to the Atrius, which in my experience is complete BS! What are your experiences? |

Arc Fire by far. I’ve got 12 set up with various G$ triggers and all scream. I can take G$ and use elsewhere and install supplied trigger shoe and I’m good to go. The atrius you had to grind the trigger shoe down and it slaved into the frt. If that part failed heat treat contact asd- they’ll replace it very quickly. |

Well, I wish I knew what was going on with the one I have left. I can’t get this thing to run in arc mode. I have had this thing apart, and back together again like 15 times now. I just took it out after relieving the rear shelf further. It only does semi auto. Non live fire function test seems to work fine in arc mode. I know I’m installing it right, and I know I’m using good ammo. For gods sake I’ve built 3 1911s, and fit a buddy’s slide to frame on his 1911, built no less that 15 AR15s…and done other gunsmithing. I am not wet behind the ears. This is a RRA LAR-15, 16” DD chf pencil barrel, H3 dead blow buffer, Tubbs speedlock flat wire, and BCM full auto bcg. I have tried everything listed to try short of messing with the pre cut trigger. I am gonna have to see if they will send me another trigger, or what the rep at AS designs thinks. If you don’t mind me asking, how is this way better than my Atrius that runs like a well oiled machine after an hour of work? I’m not trying to be confrontational, it’s just not been my experience and would like to know everyones Conscientious. I have several hours into this Arc fire, and its still no go. |

Better? All mine run and I have match grade triggers. My only mil spec fcgs have Atrius or SS ( I think those are all replaced now tho). And the mushy cassette triggers. But B&Ts and Q guns only run on cassettes currently. I don’t want to slave triggers to frts any longer. |

I am kinda new to the frs/frt game. I was also wondering about the dissipators, and other similar options. For some reason most of the influencers claim they prefer the Arc fire v2. I’m sure they run good once all the bugs are worked out. But, I’m starting to think the two I bought were manufactured on a Friday. |

I prefer the ARC-Fire by far. I think I own 6 of them now, possibly 7. I own three Atriuses, mostly bought before the ARC-Fire production was really up and running. The ARC-Fire is just a beefier, stronger mechanism. I can use a Geissele trigger with it. I've had endless problems trying to get my G Lever Atrius to run with a Geissele. And please don't be insulted by this, we ask everyone who describes the issues you're having. Are you positive that you have a real H3 buffer, with an aluminum body, and three sliding tungsten weights, with a total weight of about 5.4 oz? Because the symptoms you're describing sound exactly like bolt carrier bounce, which shouldn't be happening with an H3. Lastly, can you post some pics of the guts of your guns? |

I’ll try to get some pictures later. The buffer in question is a KVP stainless steel buffer, with brass weights. I guess that could be the problem. I can pull the mill spec H3 I have in my Atrius build and test it. I have tons of carbine, and h2 buffers. I guess I could try an H2. Or I could order some tungsten weights, and convert one of my un used h2 buffers. I wont be paying what these clowns want for an H3 nowadays. I will tell you one thing though. I think that the idea of the Arc Fire being far superior to the Atrius is delusional at best. They are different, but similar designs which take a different, but similar approach. You say the Arc fire is more robust, well it isn’t if it is not properly heat treated. In fact my experience is the polar opposite. The Arc fire I sent back to Optics Planet, had a big chunk broke off the detent barrel, which was only test fired once. The way the selector attaches to the barrel is a weakness in the Arc fire system. Even the AS designs rep admitted via e mail “we have had a lot of problems with that model”. I believe him. Once I figure out this photo sharing bs, I’ll post pictures, including the broken part. |

| I have several Arc Fires and haven't had any issues getting them to run. I haven't found anything I like better than the V2 45/90. Most of mine have a Geissele trigger, but my MPX has a typical AR Fire Control Group with the Arc Fire trigger substituted. Only one gave me a few issues before I realized the hammer was dropping early. Put a shim in and it was good to go. The 45/90 selector is a very big plus for me. |

I do not lol. Come on! I’m not trying to bash anyone, or any company. I have never had this many issues getting something to run. Especially a product praised as much as this one is. Its funny that you think that though. Yup, I must be one of them Lmfao! In all seriousness, I joined with the hope that I get this RRA running like a sewing machine. No other reason. Besides, I think the next time I make a purchase like this, it will be cassette style. The only thing thats prevented me from going that route, is the reports of mushy, or gritty triggers. |

Their two stage frt is an excellent trigger though. I wouldn’t steer anyone away from it. |

Okay, I have the aluminum h3 with tungsten weights in the build with the Atrius. I will do a quick swap, and take it out to the farm later. I bought that Kaw valley because it wasn’t $100, and I figured it had brass reciprocating weights, but I could see now how that can be the issue. And if it is the issue, I’ll buy some tungsten weights. |

And if it is the issue, I’ll buy some tungsten weights. That is the issue! Gonna work a treat now with a proper buffer. And if your Super Selector spring binds - causing failure - on mag 7, 8 or 9 ... you will NOT be the first to experience the failure point introduced by a spring. Simply put, a proper cam beats a spring every time. Your failure is a QC slip - the design is solid. So you know, I did favor the Atrius/Cornfire design until Cornfire/Copperhead had their breakup. The last C/C (I honestly don't know which I sourced) was NOT the same as the very early production Cornfire that was sold with the promise it'd drive a Larue MBT. It didn't, but I was able to mod G$ trigger lightly and that combo is still glorious. I bought the C/C unit to repeat the success - but may have killed $300 worth of $G over the course of an afternoon of about 20 babysteps trying to get it to fire. Firing never happened so I cut away the starboard side and fit an early gen 1 Arc to confirm I had gone too far. (note I now have a G2 45/90 which I hope will rescue the G$, but I'm just not in any hurry to confirm I pissed away $300). IMO, the starbord cut requirement is not my favorite design decision, so I avoided accepting their design's advantages until the Atrius/C/C weakpoint appeared |

Now, I do think you guy’s are 100% correct. I already installed the h3 in the RAA. I’m sitting here with this KVP buffer, an aluminum H2, and a h1. While the KVP buffer is heavier, and does have reciprocating mass, when you shake them the h2 hits quite a bit different. You can tell the h2 has more reciprocating mass. Hell, the H1 hits harder ![]() This is why I joined. Now I have to go test. |

But the Tromix version is 40 bucks. |

I'll also vouch for the Tromix H3. I have mine paired with the ARC Fire V1 on my 20" and it runs great. Very controllable with the 20". Plus Mr. Tromix/Rumore was nice enough to let me pick it up in person. After reading your story I'll again consider myself lucky that my Atrius worked out of the package with my MBT. |

To get my Atrius to run, I had to sand down the trigger shoe, and relieve the rear of the upper. Probably an hour of work, not too bad. It runs good now, but now im worried about spring breakage. |

The spring probably won’t break, but it may kink a bit at some point, and a coil may slip between the Atrius and the trigger shoe. That’s the primary reason I consider the ARC-Fire to be more robust. It uses cams to force the lever into place, not a spring loosely wrapped around a shaft. |

The whole bcg costs a bit more than just a buffer because It has the sliding weight built in. In my opinion, it's great because you can better adjust your rof by using / experimenting with a carbine buffer, h1, h2 etc. Mine has worked best for my preference with the dbc and an h2. But ymmv. . |

Have both an Atrius and now an ARC v2 with an old G trigger. I put the ARC in my go-to AR and now I gotta say that it’s my new favorite FRT setup. I had G triggers in my non-clone ARs and I hate that I had to give them up when outfitting everything with an FRT. I immediately bought 2 more selectors after test firing it. I will say that the Atrius I have in my back-up AR is also still running well, but I’ll probably get around to eventually replacing it with an ARC and G trigger setup too. |

It's far better than a trigger kicker or partisan for 22 reset uppers. My upper ran today with some old Winchester M22 ammo. I was pretty happy as I have a lot of that ammo vs CCI mini mags. For 556 I think I prefer the Disruptor. |
