Anyone using one of these yet?  Would love to see a pic of one on a BRN-180. Also KNS is now selling a slick adapter to convert a regular lower to Picatinny where the buffer tube would go to attach these Picatinny stocks and folders.

Here is a link to the adapter I mentioned so you can use a regular lower with these Picatinny stocks.  Looks nice and low profile, combined with the MI folder it looks like a sleek setup.

In the video they have a similar stock, looks like a brace (close enough) on a BRN-180S

I’ve got one, and so far, it’s my preferred stock for my BRN-180. In this pic (the only pic I have right now) I’m also using an SBRed lower with the KNS adapter.

I’ve tried a Magpul Zhukov stock with Haga Defense adapter, which was the most comfortable stock, but it added about an inch or so to the overall length making it not fit in the pack below. I’ve also tried a JMac Customs 8” stock which is very nice, but too skinny in my shoulder and too short overall for it to be very comfy when shooting.

The Midwest stock is about 9” and folds up short enough, but is also long enough and wide enough for longer shooting sessions.

The overall length for me is important because I carry it in an Osprey Talon22 day pack.

@Claytonhoneyberry Thank you and I have a question, In the video on the Brownells site they show it folding to the left side, but in your pic it is folded to the right side, how does that work, can it be switched?

Yep, it can be switched to fold to either side. I flipped it because the charging handle and light are already sticking out on that side, so it kinda makes sense to have everything that sticks out on the same side. The other side is relatively slick except for my sling.

Here’s a couple more pics I just took.

I received the Midwest buffer tube version of the folding stock today for my BRN180 and really like it. It is heavier than a standard buffer tube, but the folding mechanism works well. I also have a Sig picatinny folding adapter on an AK and would say it feels a little high quality than the Midwest, but is more expensive.

Do stocks fit on it well? Someone said on Brownells site that a Magpul CTR was a little loose.

I put a magpul MOE stock on mine and it fit fine, I didn't notice any excessive movement.

Can you shoot that way or does the casing fail to eject because the stock is in the way?

I haven’t tried that yet, but is looks like it might work if I left the ejection port cover open. It doesn’t look like it opens enough to function correctly with it closed. I cycled the action with some of those Magpul dummy rounds and they ejected just fine though.

Is this better or worse or the same as the original SIG MCX folding stock?

I can't tell from the pics but is there enough clearance to fire while the stock is folded?

I use a KNS picatinny adapter.  Works well, just be sure to use locktite because the main screw holding the rail to the buffer adapter WILL unthread.
