I wasn't sure exactly where to put this, but does anyone have any info regarding this situation. I live in AZ and currently have to move to California for work, I have a CZ Bren II pistol with the 11" barrel, is that something that can even be brought into that state? Or do I just need to sell it Thanks again for any info |

Unless you’re in the military, you’re pretty fucked right now. However, this may change in the next 24 months with the Supreme Court decision. There are things you can do to bring it to a un assault form, but that would pretty much require. You disassembling the firearm. I leave it to our resident California experts to give you the fine details |

yup, not on Roster https://beverlyhillsguns.com/firearms/handguns/cz-bren-2--cz80591461 no idea if parts are avail.... small chance you could convert to fixed magazine w/ 10 round max BUT there may be other parts you would have to change or remove too probably easier to sell it & buy another when you move back to a free state

| Thanks for the replies, I know Cali has their fixed magazine regulations in regards to ar-15 pistols. Just wasn't sure if I could somehow manage to make the Bren legal in that fashion. If not so be it, I don't have anyone in Arizona I could leave it with unfortunately. Probably going to have to sell it. Makes me sad since it's my favorite rifle lol |

It's going to be a permenant change for work, but who knows. I'm planning on renting my Arizona house until it's financially feasible to use it as a second home to retain some of my gun rights but that will probably be a long ways away until I can financially afford to pay for both houses. So until then a lot of my stuff needs to be sold or converted In my head I was hoping to get the dan haga ar-15 compatible lower receiver for the Bren and mag lock the lower, while also putting a non folding fixed brace for the receiver extension. But again if that raises alarms for Cali I don't want that kind of a problem |

Hide it in a way that will be impossible to find and go back and get it when it’s your second home again. Or bring it with and live free. |

So this was years ago but... My buddy moved to SF. Sold me his g26 because he knew it wasn't on the roster. After, he was telling me that he could have kept it even if it wasn't on roster since he was moving into the state. No idea if there is any substantiation to this or if some knucklehead at a gunstore wove a tall tale. But something to google and see. |

| Thanks for all the replies! Theres just too much grey area in cali, im just going to sell it and buy a 16" BREN rifle so i dont have the headache when i inevitably go out shooting. In the coming years maybe when im not renting out my az house and use it as a second home ill get all my goodies back 🤣 |

You can bring in Off Roster handguns to CA if you are moving from out of state. This helps convert it to a Fixed Magazine: Compmag CA is complicated for sure, but lots of AR pistols are being sold here now. Of course everyone is hopeful for a positive outcome from SCOTUS. |
