That's an awesome build.

Sort of a late model 723 build.

Luth C7 upper.  FN 14.7 chrome lined M4 profile barrel.

2 stage RRA trigger and Spikes parts with an Aero ambi safety.  I'm left eyed.

Obviously, the Primary Arms GLX 2x prism is not period correct, but it has good glass, a forgiving eye-box, good illumination and NV settings.

The handguards are place-holders until I decide if I want skinny CAR handguards or some old school surefire handguards.

Not a clone, but a handy, fairly lightweight easy to use carbine.

Finally got around to getting an example of a M16A1, a Brownell’s BRN16A1.

Love how lightweight these rifles are.

Nice!  I'm waiting on parts to make a (much less authentic) xm177 clone for my youngest.

Looks great.

My same Colt 1993 model R6830 Sporter Lightweight cal. 7.62X39 that I posted before except this is a full size picture.

I replaced the factory slotted pivot pin with push mil-spec captive pivot pin (because the lower receiver have holes for the pivot detent & detent spring from the factory), replaced the factory fixed A2 stock with mil-spec buffer tube, H2 buffer and B5 Systems CAR-15 carbine (Colt Fiberlite N1 type) stock.

Picked up some old school surefire hand guards from a seller here, slapped on a sling and now have a fairly useful/lightweight KISS carbine.

Clone correct?  Oh.  No, not one bit.

Pretty darn handy though.

Groovy. I like your color choice.

Mine’s ugly as sin, but happens to be one of my favorite ARs; absolutely the most nimble. With that setup, the sling gives the perfect amount of resistance to make for a damn good & sturdy cheek weld. Folks who’ve never tried it probably wouldn’t believe it, but that little thing handles & shoots really well, especially for a 10.5” barrel. It’s actually even pleasant to shoot when I throw a can on it.

We're pretty close with this one.

"LM" Martin Marietta upper and a Nodak spud lower.

TNTE barrel assembly.

BCM parts kit with some from my parts bin.

Needs more retro parts but a pretty fun rifle.

Ambi safety stays.  (I know, I know, but some of us shoot left/wrong.)

Looks great on that build - nice job.

I asked because I have a couple of G.A. suppressors and more than a 1/2 dozen taper mount muzzle devices, but have yet to try one like yours.

My favorite mount they offer is the full size three prong stealth flash suppressor. After finally seeing someone with a minimalist stealth FH mounted (yours), I’ve decided I need one too. Thanks for the unintended nudge.

First, that’s ugly and you should send it to me.

Second, what rail and ring do I need to do the same thing to my BCM Kino barrel with that same upper?

Haha! Thanks man!
This is my 22 dedicated upper so I just used a cheap Amazon (monstrum??) rail and it’s been great so far.  The ring however is another story…. Old Aimpoint low ring that doesn’t exist anymore.  I was able to pick up 4 of them from a guy in Switzerland a few years back.  There are some that will work fine but I love the look of the Aimpoint low mount.  The correct rail would be an Arms rail and it looks like those have been in stock again lately. Smith enterprises makes a nice carry handle rail too.
