I was only planning on doing one carry handle build, with a red dot. Ended up being the most comfortable AR i own, so now im three deep and barely mess with my flat tops. With one exception. Planning on going "nv" height on a couple of my flat tops soon because of this. |

I've shot plenty of buddies but none felt "just right". I shit you not, this whole carry handle setup is much less "a vibe" and much more useable than it gets credit. All my buddies have these Gucci builds and I pull this lowly specimen out only for them to all wanna mimic the ergos now with crazy risers and stuff. |

 2022-01-15_01-30-53 by brandon hobock, on Flickr" />my 6520 came home today! can't decide on an optic yet, it's so light that I don't want to spoil it with something chonky line the 9000sc that's on my A1. internet says the trijicon rx01 in the gooseneck is only 7.7 oz... i have a hard time believing it. meprolight m21 is 15oz in the gooseneck, an aimpoint pro on their gooseneck with c clamp is 18 oz i need to figure out how much a c more + gooseneck weights. for reference, the A1 weights 8lbs 1oz the 6520 weights 5lbs 13.7oz oh yeah, and it's got some purple to it!!!!

| I had previously never had much interest in a carry handle rifle, the more I think about it the more I want one. It seems to me it would make for a great everyday "truck gun." It would also be fun to have an earlier model Colt, just because. This thread isn't helping curb those desires, haha. |

Im up to 4 if you include detachable. Its the look i grew up envying in the 90s as a kid, the first AR i shot was one. I use them more than any of my flat tops for sure. |

I have some nice rifles, with a lot of $$ thrown at them, but I and my friends and family always grab the C7s. Especially the light 12.5" SBR. I am going to have to re-barrel this thing, soon! |

A few of mine (you might get the impression I'm partial to Dissy's). Some are bolt on carry handles, but I have several more A2 uppers. Thinking of converting just for durability reasons. I love the beefy indestructible aspect of a carry handle and FSB. You'd have to really beat the crap out of them to render them inoperable.     The whole group:

Haven’t shot any of my ARs w/o optics in a long time - a couple of years or so. I had forgotten how much more fun it is with irons than just putting a dot or the crosshairs on a target. Did better than I thought I would too, so it was a great day. I may have a source on an aluminum tape switch tail cap made for airsoft in the UK that will work as a decent stand in. Seen a few pics of them on 6p's, and they look good.
