I’ve wiped oil on it, washed it, and gave it time with natural hand grease accumulation. What method am I missing to get rid of my pasty white GG&G grip? Nothing lasts more than a day unless I leave a stupid amount of oil on it which is dumb.

Carefully heat it with an electric heat gun until the chalkiness is gone.

Use it.  Just go out and use it.

Spray paint works great.

You could try mineral oil or any skin lotion with mineral oil in it, or any of the automotive plastic rejuvenators

When you applied oil, did you wipe or brush it on?  If there is staining or debris in the pores of the plastic, using an AP brush to apply oil and work it into the pores may dissolve and break up the staining.  You may want to try cleaning it first with a mild detergent like Dawn or purple colored Simple Green.

If that doesn't work, hit it with a mild polishing compound like Flitz, white Scotch Brite or 0000 steel wool w/ oil.  It may be the finish was damaged and is reflecting light differently enough to account for the color difference.  If that's the case, no amount of oil will fix it since a uniform finish needs to be applied to the entire piece.  A soft wire wheel (like a carding wheel) may work too but use LIGHT pressure.  Keep in mind that any polishing (especially a with a carding wheel) can make a surface shiny if you go hard.  If it gets too shiny, you can always dull it again with Scotch Brite.  Avoid a standard wire wheel as it will eat through plastic.

There is a product for cars that renews the black in bumpers and other auto materials...it really works.

This is the answer you seek.

Works on patio furniture & car trim as well.

If heat and oil are recommendations, what would happen if I deep fried it?

We might find out.

It depends on the plastic. I used a propane torch to rejuvenate much of the plastic trim on my Jeep. It didn’t work on the door handles or side mirrors which are apparently a different type of plastic from the rest of the trim.
