So one of my idea involve a rear takedown pin but in a different width.
Well. Actually one shorter and one longer.

I figure anyone with the thing on file can modify it for me easy.
Probably make like a few of each to make it work time wise.

And I mean the channel /divots need to be in the same spot end wise.

Out of curiosity, what are these widths you require?

Why? Would involve a new solid for what you want, and then writing a new code for CNC, and simply not economical to set up and make one or two of something that way, only economical way to do would be manually and at minimum you be in for a couple of hours labor to turn it and the set up and mill it ...have to make something to hold it for milling as well.....I could make one...but by the time you are done making it manualy and sending off for heat treat...it would be very pricy....

It shouldn't take more than an hour per pin, tops.

But, why?

My reasons don’t need to make financial sense I have enough.

I asked if anyone has it on file already.  Which means a file with the CNC code and jigs I assume if they are making parts.

I dunno if these widths need a new jig.  Do they ??????
And I can change my files in a few minutes.  Might take a practice run or two before i get it right.
I’d assure length is what we are changing.

You can mock it up w/ some clevis pins & washers.

Anybody that is set up to make tens of thousands of these won’t give you the time of day.

You will need to find a smaller, job shop to even look at something like this.

Just remembered this place:

This is probably your best bet.

Find some one who has a lathe and hand them some 3/8 diameter O-1 tool steel and a sketch of what you want.

A 1/4" clevis pin can be milled or routed into a custom pin

What are you trying to accomplish and do you have any specific materials you want to have the pins made from?

.308 ARs have longer takedown pins.

Humm...a pin more like the original with a built-in ball detent might work better for your application.

These guys may have what you want:

The Cav15 style lowers used clevis pins with ball detents.  When Trinity Ordnance cleared out their stash of Sabre lowers, I got one without retainer pins.  I went to TSC and picked up generic clevis pins, and cut them to length.
