I know little if anything about the various FRT's available. Are there any durability issues with them ? Are some just dubious junk v. some that are known and proven to be more than withstanding long term use ? I rarely see anything commenting about how durable they are after +100's of rounds And, is there a "specific" buffer weight that is typically used ? Thank you for any comments. |

I've put over 4k on Arcfires thus far, with about 2k being the highest on a single unit. They're plenty durable when set up properly and not binding. I've yet to see any indication of the sort of wear that would lead to early failure, and have no reason to think it wouldn't last 10k and beyond. I use an H2 with all of mine, but the most popular is H3. |

| Not a lot of difference between some of the designs and the build quality of an actual auto sear in an AR. Some of the other platforms, I would expect to have more issues (AK for example, with the thin/long trip bar..) AR is probably the best functioning platform to use and likely to have the more durable designs as well. |

The good ones are extremely durable, if set up properly. Go search out some videos on how the M16/M4 full auto function works, I'm reluctant to post one here as I don't know if it's permitted. But when you get a look at that mechanism, you won't have any further concern about say, an ARC-Fire, my personal favorite FRT.

Using a supersafety 4140 steel in my sbr.Been in there for 1.5 years with no issues has lots of rounds through it how many not sure but definitely in the 1000s. Second is my 16 inch ar been in since dec or so and that one has lots of rounds too my guess low 1000 count so far i havent seen any wear on the cams.One thing i did do on both was polish the trigger cut part and oil them before shooting. |

FYI Also - I think the new "trigger kicker" is also designed to work with standard milspec triggers. |
