On FN's website in the manuals section, the addendum manual for their M4 Collector carbine lists the following: FN15® Military Collector M4 Limited Edition (36318-01) - FN15® Military Collector M4 Carbine - Certificate of Authenticity with corresponding serial number - Two Commemorative Dog Tags with corresponding serial number - Small Arms Sling - GI Cleaning Kit - M9 Bayonet with Sheath - Vertical Pistol Grip - One magazine 30 round capacity - Safety lock and two keys - Owner’s Manual with this Addendum Was unaware that there was a Limited Edition, although it was probably released years ago. I wouldn’t mind having the lower/upper receiver and then use their 14.7” CHF barrel with your favorite rail. I found some FN lowers some years back and got the upper receiver mil surplus. Added the above barrels with Centurion rails. Turned out nice but one of the upper receivers needs refinishing. It looks like it rode in a humvee for a while lots of laughs |

Yet, for some reason their actual "military collector series" seem to be a massive downgrade with a huge price spike in comparison to their usual rifle line up. If anything, Colt is selling their "SOCOM" one that is a near replica of the USGI version for the cost of the KAC rail and heavy barrel profile and the price scales well from their baseline model they sell at stores - around $900-$1000 for a basic Colt rifle, but their SOCOM is selling for $1500-$1700 area which is scaling appropriately considering the extra rail and parts. |

They call it effective marketing for those who do not know the difference. Add: the last m4a1 I got was in 1400 neighborhood. A great deal. Dang thing runs great with the sf mini.
