Got mine installed and after learning how the whole progressive trigger works in FRT, this thing is awesome. At first I thought something was wrong. Even in my bench test with force rest mode, I didn’t think it was working. I took it out and tried it and still thought I was having issues as I couldn’t get a consistent FRT. But once I learned how the trigger works, it’s all good now. The second pull is VERY heavy and I wasn’t consistently pulling back enough at times. I would sometimes just get three round bursts. After some practice and can now do a full mag dump without any interruption. The installation itself wasn’t too bad. The jig they supplied makes it easier. I do recommend hand cycling the bolt multiple times. This will help smooth out the operation of bolt movement. Mine was slightly tight, but after hand cycling the bolt about 80 or 100 times it’s super smooth now. This was likely because my bolt was basically new plus the trigger pack now containing metal parts. It just needed to break in a little. But yeah, I’m very satisfied with the trigger after learning how it works. |

Just now looking at the FN Specialties Website, and it appears that the PS 90 FRT is now selling for $200...... A WHOLE LOT LESS than what I paid for my still to be shipped FRT..... Has anyone got any info on this? Is there going to be a refund? I JUST saw this tonight, so I haven't talked to them about that yet.... |

Sit down, watch a TV show or something and hand cycle the bolt multiple times. It will break in. This is the same thing I do on bolt actions and it it’s night and day difference. |

Several of us on the first batch have issues. The actuator are causing the bolt to hang up so FNS sent an email out and we have to return the part to see if they can "adjust" it or replace it. I just sent mine back today. So there is at least another 2 week wait just in transit time. To say I am extremely unhappy is an understatement. Hopefully when you get yours it will actually work. |

I know this thread is about the FN Specialties but I went with the B squared hammer pack. Its only 2 position but there's no "sweet spot" to find and its a replacement pack (need your own super safety trigger and cam) so no need to mess with the oem. The hammer spring it shipped with was defective but its a milspec ar hammer spring so I had a spare laying around and it runs like a top. I hate how much 5.7 costs  B Squared mfg SG90 hammer pack |

Finally had a chance to install the X-PRT 90 in my PS90. Video said it would take 5 minutes, LOL. Took 5 minutes just to manipulate the hammer back in the trigger pack. Did the function check, I assume it passed. Not gonna make assumptions either way on its function until I can live fire it and that won’t be this weekend. Hopefully have time in the next couple of weeks. |

I ordered on 03/16 and received mine last week. My experience is identical to this guy's. I hand cycled the action several hundred times (not dry firing, just cycling) to help wear things in a bit w/ the included grease but I think the FRT position really needs firing to work itself in. During the first hundred rounds it ran hilariously good w/ SS197 w/ a 9mm can on the end of it. It chugged a bit on SS197 w/o the can during break-in but, realistically, this is likely never going to be fired w/o a can. I will re-try it unsuppressed after a couple more weekends of shooting w/ the can to confirm function. Fiocchi 62 gr subs ran great suppressed but I won't be bothering to check that stuff w/o the can. The second stage of that progressive trigger is legitimately HEAVY. So far, I'm a happy camper. On a related note, I gave the selector markings the Crayola treatment after an abortive attempt at using nail polish. DO NOT USE ACETONE/FINGERNAIL POLISH REMOVER ON THIS SELECTOR!! A portion of mine now has discoloration because I used acetone on it. This won't affect function but I was a bit annoyed w/ myself. The Crayola actually looks great. |
