Stripped it completely down and sprayed the receivers, rail, and top of the brace with aerosol Duracoat Magpul Foliage Green...but the color looked too “off”. I found out about the Rustoleum Primer that was a close match to Magpul Foliage and figured worse case, at least the Duracoat would be a good base coat. The AFG is a cheap knockoff. The BCM rail panels were cerakoted in foliage by Joint Force Enterprises. Pretty pleased with the final product:

Pardon my confusion, but is the firearm shown in the background of this photo likely a foliage green AR-15? If so, is that an M-LOK handguard of some sort with an integral picatinny rail, or something else (and would anyone be able to identify the manufacturer)? Would it likely be available from the manufacturer in foliage green or would that need to have had a Cerakote or other finish applied? I don’t believe sig produced them in any green hues; pretty sure they only produced them in black, FDE/Tan, and grey. |

I sometimes have difficulty distinguishing between foliage green and various gray hues - it appears that SIG has a 'stealth gray' finish option which may be what I'm seeing in that photo. |

Here's my Rock River- still pretty much the way it looked 15 years ago when I stuck all that Magpul stuff on it. Yes that is a vintage 2007ish EOTech. The green handled Ontario M9 bayonet matches the Magpul foliage green pretty well. Attached File |
