I’m gonna post what I can remember of the build too since I lost the thread I posted on it. Upper: All Colt of course: CM receiver, C marked BCG and 14.5 barrel, flat delta ring, 6 hole skinny handguard. Surefire 660 w/ barrel mount. Lower: Colt AR-15 A2 Govt Carbine restricted lower. Standard Colt parts kit. 2 position buffer tube with a 3rd hole drilled and CAR-15 stock(Colt, Oly or Eagle, not sure, just know it’s from a pre-ban lower) Optic: Aimpoint 5000. ARMS M16A1A2 (Colt marked) weaver carry handle mount. My goal for the build was to be as period correct as I could. Most, if not all, parts are from the early 90s. That’s why I chose to have an old A2 receiver instead of a new production C7. My favorite part about the build is the lower. The AR-15 A2 Carbine marking is as close as anyone will get to the M16 A2 Carbine marked lowers that Gordy and the like would be running. Now I just need the 3 piece collar for my AEM5 and the build will be complete. Good luck on the build. It was a fun journey. Attached File Attached File Attached File Attached File |

Everything for the NSW rifle Recce should be home by now, I’m out until Sunday.
On another note, someone in the NSW thread mentioned Lilja has barrels with KAC length intermediate gas. I could run the Lilja and URX2 with the tapered gas block. I really wish I had more of these suckers. So many ideas. |

Was hoping to see some good builds with them in here so I could get all Misty-eyed while living the 14.5 life. |

They're pretty groovy, aren't they? This one was not one of D. Wilson's but the small batch that Ron did. |

I'm looking at sourcing everything for a Form 1 to keep the length. 12.5 is titties with the AEM5 though |

Massive respect Edit: I was doing the 12.5 + AEM5 because I have the AEM5 coming for my mod h |

I figure the barrel is already there and shoots well, just need it contoured. Got a machine shop in FL lined up to make the adapter. Just gotta stop being poor |

Mine accompanies me on pretty much every range trip. |

Since that guy mounted his scope mount backwards, am I GWOT enough if I didn’t put the forward assist in?
