Slap a MRE on there and swap the Aimpoint for a Weaver Classic 1.5-4.5x24.

I had one, made a bunch of different configurations and sold it after a month.

They're freaking amazingly nostalgic, but in use....holy shit.

I struggle with that too. Get in hand and then have some regret. I know they are heavy and I’m not big on FSPs at the moment. I’ve been on a .22 bender kind of recently. I can work on a GWOT like thing without it being quite as heavy as a centerfire counterpart. You can suppress them easily to great effect too.

Even this brief MRE talk scrambled my brain to think about a .22 build with one.

Y'all gonna get me kicked out of the BHD thread... But Irene needs a new skirt! I wanted to do a Recce MRE but the more I look, the "what if" draws harder and harder.

I dig those old Armalite tubes too. I've often thought of a 13.x" or whatever it would be with an NT4 up against the MRE. Maybe a FSGB instead of the FSP.

Anyone got a lead on one of these old ass Armalite tubes? Been digging this rifle since the first time I saw it. FSP gang for life

ETA: more importantly, I remember you saying that you had a gunsmith modify it to fit, exactly what was done? Would be easy enough to have a tube covered in CF. Mounting is another story.

I keep trying to find inspiration for what to do with this but I have no good ideas and with no real plan I'm not dumping money into it. Might make a worthy offering to the cause on the EE soon as well as an unfired Ghost Firearms 10.5" 300BLK upper.

@CMCctx

One on the EE about half way down his listing.

I really wanted it but have too many projects.

ETA:

Mine was a AR-10 tube. The one in the link is for an ar15

It’s a sweet mount. Takes zero time to get it setup and leveled. Plus it’s pretty lightweight

Thanks!

The pins are from a Geissele LPK. They match the bolt catch and mag catch button. I'm not sure if they do anything over milspec, but they're nice pins that look cool!

What is the scoop on the delta ring here? Is the forend a KAC rail? Looks like it extends further than the ones I have seen.

Sorry for the noob questions. Just received a PSA stealth lower and am considering a clone build of my own.

It's a KAC FF RAS with a KAC lock ring, not a standard delta ring with m4 RAS. Every time someone uses the FF over standard, an angel gets their wings.

Speaking of FF, I’m really tempted to swap out the Vero Beach M5 RAS on my Dissipator for something FF.

Thinking I might go with PRI if I can find something used on the cheap, maybe even the triangular Delta series for bonus weird points.

These all look great!  The clone threads don’t like that I add things I like so I’m glad to see others do the same.  Here are some of my “inspired” rifles
Kind of a bhd build but modernized with a comp and fat handguards.

These got me in trouble in the mk18 thread.. this is more correct (still missing things)
And this is the inspired mk18, but I loved the BCM rail and H1 on the kac Mount.

The best part is you can “clone” what you like and make the rest yours...

Nice rifles! I struggle with cloning because there usually is better parts available. Most my rifles are clone inspired, but I just can't get myself to spend money on sub-par optics, lights etc.

I like the creativity this thread offers. I love the ideas and directions people go in with GWOT era parts or manufacturers. I’m chipping away on a build I hope to share in the near future.
