How many of you would be interested in an H&R M16A2 lower marked Safe-Semi-Auto just like Colt did on their 723/727 etc.

Yes a stripped lower is what I had in mind. If you guys are interested follow the link and let Mike know:

I would buy a few. I asked Mike about it a while back. I think they would sell as many people who wants to build Gordon carbines and Blood Diamond clones.

Possible lower from H&R:

So to make my 723 more “correct” I’d want one that says “auto?” Mine is currently on a Rock River lower I have sitting around. I ask because I’m debating about ordering one that says, “burst” off the website or should I wait?
|
|
I think im down too...
Edit: Its all in the marketing. It will sell if you market it as "Gordon/Delta/COTS/BHD" lower. Heck the C7 carbines should come with this lower and be marketed the same way and will absolutely sell like freaking crazy. I definitely think that if this happens ill pick one up. Im kinda getting fired up about it honestly. |

Maybe down the road figure out correct early THICC A2 grips to go with....

View Quote @mike_nds Have I told you that my wife is beginning to not like you...... you are killing me man..... I have an A2 upper that would pair very nicely with that.... but i am trying to part with it instead, so they stop becoming more rifles/carbines..... you really are killing me small's |

Super cool! Do you have an idea on pricing and time frame till drop?

Can it be pre ordered so we don’t miss out?
High shelf/low shelf/m16 pocket? |

I haven’t bought one of those yet. So it’s a ______? Think it's a high shelf. Would have to be milled for a sear. But if you're drilling for a sear b/c the Hughes Amendment was overturned, you're like as not going to have to mill some on the upper, so might as well mill you a low shelf in the lower. |

I don’t understand why any company makes high shelf at this point. One can argue how many have a DIAS or if it would ever get fully converted, but the only style anyone needs is M16 cut or low shelf. No needs high shelf.
No one needs an A2 to say Burst or Auto either. PSA used to say they want to make sure firearms are in common use. Removing the largest hurdle in that process so it’s already dealt with goes a long way in that. |

The a2 carbine discussed in this thread https://www.ar15.com/forums/AR-15/AR6520/127-779731/ Would be basically a 727. And as discussed in this thread the "c7" or 723 Definitely going to hold out for grey. This will go wonderfully with my LMT A2 upper that i need to build out. 727 clone should be in the works soon.. of course it'll get the AE m4 treatment too |
