Here is some of your more higher end armor piercing that was or is produced in 5.56/.223 caliber. All very rare in the states and just as expensive.
The six on the left are tungsten cored with the 6th one being the M995. The three on the right are hardened steel core. If you request, will give head stamps. wolfgang

Yes the French rounds are steel case with a lacquer finish. The M995 has been posted before, but have the xm777 and the Austrian cut, since there was extras.
You will see them in a few. Only have found singles of all the rest and wont cut them until I have a duplicate. Check out http://cartridgecollectors.org/cmo/cmoindex.htm as there are several on there already cut by another sectionist(?) named Paul Smith. Finally got off the couch. I think you will find that the "IK 85 5.56" is just an SS-109. There was a bunch of it imported some years ago, clearly marked as SS-109 on the box but had black tips. Often erroneously identified as AP. I'm not aware of actual Yugo AP in 5.56, but there could be.

Knew that Bosnia/ Hert made some with black tips, had a box which is long gone. The rounds that are left have a symbol at the top, lines on both side going all the way down to a .223 on the bottom. That too was just the ss109. We will see!!! wolfgang |
