This just occurred to me as I was rearranging some master packs of various calibers.

May be an old topic and obvious to answer but is there a standard or safe height to stack cases of ammo before ammo on the bottom may become crushed or deformed ? Also I would it matter the orientation of the rounds .

Cripes sake may be too late (for mine) if I went too high all these years.

And,yes, I already have plenty of day-ammo in cans.  This is backed up storage.

Store all your ammo in military grade steel cans then you can stack as high as you want.

I use US Military M19A1 30 cal cans for long term storage for all my ammo.  They keep the ammo dry, can be stacked easily, and can be carried easily.

Thanks, but I'm asking about stacked, cased ammo. As I said above I already have plenty of ammo cans for other short access usage.
