The upper is back at CMMG they are replacing the barrel. So I have stripped the lower and shot it with Alumhyde in OD. Burris Fullfield II w/ Burris fastfire and PERS mount. CMMG Spec II 1x11 16in barrel midlength MI rifle length rail Surefire 9p with Cree LED Bushmaster Lower CMMG guts with a MR. Bill 4lb trigger job and speed hammer |
ran across this one used at a gun show last weekend. i traded even up a hk g3 clone and an ar57 that i built:
quality components throughout: 
i had the surefire and the bipod on my ar57. 
i also added the single point sling. 
6.8 inside! i traded my two rifles because i figured the 6.8 fit in between the 5.7x28 and .308 for my needs. 
the buis is sweet, never saw one like this before. 
only was able to put 20rds through it so far but i am impressed. the buis works well, able to keep 3 shots in 4" offhand at 25yds. trust me, for me that is good as i am not as steady nor my eyesight as good as it used to be. the millet scope is nice as well. thanks for such a great forum! |

Mega upper & lower receivers RRA LPK with JP 3.5# springs and polished sears(nice 3.5# crisp break) DD 12" Lite rail, Vltor SS gas block GTS 18" SS (WOA/Shilen) 1:11 4 groove M/L gas match grade barrel Vortex FH Young's Chrome M-16 NM BC & Chrome cam pin w/Stag 6.8 bolt Larue LT-104 scope mount Trijicon Accupoint 3x9x40 scope BAC green reticle Mil-spec Moe stock kit with H-buffer & Colt buffer spring Magpul MAID grip & aluminum trigger guard PRI 15rd Mag's(for 2.230" COL hand loads) Troy BUIS to come(had to but two Redding Match Grade(6.8 & .223) seating dies that where over $100 each so put BUIS on hold) Well here it is, all built by me. 
30.5 gr of Benchmark with a 100 gr Accubond (2.295" COL) in SSA SP brass, #41 primers @ 100 yards after break-in shots.

Update to my pics from earlier... I swapped my 18 inch 1-11 to a 20 inch 1-12
PRS stock, MIAD grip, Geissel Match trigger, DD RIS II rail, I have a Sightron II 4.5-14 with mildots on it with a larue SPR-E mount, but I want to switch it out for a leupold 30mm LRT scope... the sightron II isnt doing it for me. then my 16 inch Mk68 with the chrome lined lothar barrel from AR performance: 
UBR stock, MIAD grip, Geisiel DMR trigger, rifle length RIS II rail, ACOG (I hope to replace it with a 1-8x optic once they come available) troy front sight, MIAD rear sight. Hopefully I can get around wto ordering the Can that goes with the surefire QD 762 flash suppressor. Both shoot very well I use my 20 inch to shoot golfballs and the small clay pigeons at 200 yards (laser confirmed) with 90 TNT's the 16 inch I have shot 1.5 inch or better groups at 100 but it gets used more for drills and such... |

My several year project:
Stag 6.8mm marked lower. Kotonics 16" lightweigth barrel mounted in a Colt M4 upper. Magpul M93B stock and MIAD grip in Coyote Brown. LaRue 10.0 handguards with Troy BUIS. GRSC scope in a LaRue SPR 1.5 mount. Gisselle SSA trigger. Strong is the koolaid with this one.

I am pretty new to the world of 6.8 SPC. I am having a ball and loving this round.
I built a 16" and loved it so much I just had to build a 12.5" SBR. Upper - Bushmaster Barrel - Noveske 16" w/Switchblock Specs - 1:12 / SPC II BCG - BCM Carrier / CMT Bolt Hider - Gemtech Bi-Lock (for QUICKSAND) Rail - 12" Larue FF Handle - BCM Gunfighter (Mod 3) Optic - Nightforce NSX 2.5-10x32 Mount - Larue LT-104 Lower - Bushmaster Trigger - Timney 3# drop-in Stock - VLTOR EMod Grip - Tango Down BG16 Other - Magpul B.A.D. Not a great pic but this is a RRA upper and lower. The scope is just a Simmons 3x9 that I was using to break the rifle in and do some load development. It will end up with a Leupold 3x9 in a better mount. It is a basic rifle, but as accurate and reliable as it is, I would trust my life to it. |
Darwin didn't figure CPR into his equation.
Here is an updated picture of my kick ass black rifle in 6.8 x 43mm. This LWRC M6A3 DMR in 6.8 SPC  is my favorite AR / Black rifle hands down over my Colt 6940, three Bushmasters and one Stag AR, and the last listed are also tube and not piston and also 5.56 (.223). I have a Troy flip up BUIS (Std.), then for my main optic it is a Leupold Mk 4 3.5-10x40mm LR/T mil-dot scope, with a Aimpoint Micro T-1 off angled with all LaRue Tactical mounts. Harris bipod, foregrip and a 200 lumens SureFire LX2 Luma blider switch.
When I compare to those rifles, and even to my other AR pistols like a Sig Saur 556 piston pistol (5.56/.223) or my Bushmaster Carbon 15 pistol (5.56/.223) my LWRC dominates in all categories from finish, quality build and stopping power of my LWRC M6A3 DMR in 6.8 SPC caliber. |
