Built this 308 upper, Aero receiver and probably a 10 yr old unfired Alpha Shooting Sports barrel. Carbine gas, but it lines up in the upper like this? I compared gas tube to a few other carbine tubes, all identical length. Is this barrel just cut wrong? Because I'm thinking that's not gonna run ... haven't tried firing yet. Also a pic of the SBR'd lower this will share. Other upper is a 12.5" .358 Winchester with a Griffin Bushwacker 46 suppressor. I did the Cerakote in Plum Brown

Given it is a Carbine length, you'll probably have ample gas. FWIW... My DPMS pattern Middies have a gas tube "depth" like that, and they all function just fine. Do you have a ADj. GB on it ? ... because you might need / want one. ( especially if it is suppressed ) |
