I've not heard of these guys until a member here tipped me off, but it might actually be happening. It's a burst mechanism designed to work with Hoffman super safeties, and the ARC-Fire. My eyeball tells me it just might work with the Cornfire too... remains to be seen. I have one on the way... if this works with the Cornfire, my M16A4 will finally be well and truly complete. Code "please" for $7.50 off. You can keep your CLAP. I want the CARL. ![]() The Cam Activated Reset Limiter from STINC USA. " />

I'm curious if it will have three different trigger pulls as well. It shouldn't from what I can tell, which is a huge plus over the A2 burst mechanism. |

3rd strings don't really interest me, I do think it could be useful when under stress. I don't like the hammer spring solution on this. Single leg, single coil on the hammer is a no for me. I'll wait until JD gets around to releasing his or other options come out. |

There's no particular reason a single coil spring can't be reliable, but it better be a good spring. |

That seems like a questionable decision. Hopefully it's at least a clipped XP spring. ![]() I suppose if it's running in their guns, no reason it can't run in mine... Anyhow I finally bit on the Cornfire/Magpul D60 combo for 260 bucks. |

I've refrained from partaking on that deal because I have 2 partisans on order. They way the legal battle is looking, those may not be coming anytime soon. If I end up canceling those, I'll probably order a couple more MARC'S w/D60's..not that I really need more FRT's

| Well, cool for people that really have to be clone correct, but I never cared for burst over auto. If you're going to go into the third position, the only limiter should be your finger and your magazine. I was very glad that when they upgraded our M4s to M4A1s, they ditched the burst mechanism all together. (even if they did add the fugly XXXX engravings over Burst to mark Auto) |

(even if they did add the fugly XXXX engravings over Burst to mark Auto) The drill the guy in the video was running where you treat each 3 round burst as a single shot is extremely attractive to me. And I'm hoping this mechanism has a consistent trigger pull, unlike the A2 burst. This device isn't going on my home defense rifle, or my SHTF rifle. It's going on a clone gun, and if I like it I'll also be putting it in a gun designated to shoot with friends, to introduce them to FRT. |

If they could ditch the memory I would think it would actually be a good thing for a shtf gun. Saving ammo when you cant just order it online does make sense. Yes I know you can always use semi but the added impact mentally and physically of 3 rounds could be important. I can also see it on on a fast gun like a 10.5, but less so on a 20 inch that chugs along a lot slower. |

Part of me thinks how useless I feel 3 rd burst is. I mean 4.5 years in the infantry and I only fired my M16A2 on burst for a total of 7 rounds. The other part of me is like this:

OK Im a newb here, I watched the video several times and I think I got what he's saying but Im a little lost... maybe not. So he's got the CARL, and the ARC fire trigger system but, he's swapped out the paddles for mil spec paddles for the clone look. The ARC fire trigger system is the pre cut trigger and the safety system sold together yes? |

I'm going to be trying this with a Cornfire selector, which looks a little bit more clone correct than the ambi ARC-Fire. If it works... literally the only external difference from a true M16A2 would be a torx screw on the left side selector. The hex machine screws on the ARC-Fire mil spec selectors don't bother me on my Block II clone, because ambi selectors are plausible, but for my A2 and A4 I'm really hoping the Cornfire works properly with CARL. Heehee. CARL and MARC... a fine pair of friends. Keep the CLAP away from them. |

I can see where you're coming from, 'cause I know where you've been and I can see where you're going 'cause I can see the direction you're headed in. I just don't know where the hell you're at right now.

Meh If I want the giggle switch, I want the full giggle switch, not limited. The one and only thing I would ever want a 3 round burst in would be a MP5, and just cause I would want the lower with all the fun marks. Safe, semi, 3 bullets, all bullets. Just the aesthetics of a lower marked that way. I might flip it there once, just to see. Otherwise it is unlimited mode. In a AR, I'll just use my finger to do the bursts. I have zero interest in this burst. Not knocking anyone who wants one at all. People like what they like and want what they want. I doubt they started making this because no one wanted it. If the demand is there, then make it. |

I'm going to put my first one in my M16A4 clone. If I like it, a second one is going to be part of my in progress Blood Diamond carbine, with an M16A2 marked lower. I think the latter gun is going to be the one I hand to newer shooters, to introduce them to FRTs. Super lightweight, 3 round burst, simple red dot, and it even has back up sights. I think that's a supremely efficient rifle setup. |
I hated going to weddings. All the grandmas would poke me and say "You're next". They stopped that when I started doing it to them at funerals.

Why? Army fucked it up in 84? Why perpetuate a failure after 40 years? Burst is because of shit training. Only shit shooters need burst. |

It seems to work, fellas. I get the same, consistent trigger pull no matter where the cam is set. It does have a memory, it doesn't reset to round 1 after a 1-2 round burst, but that's not a huge deal. I installed mine using a slave pin, it's way easier to assemble outside the gun than working down in the receiver. Make sure the one leg of your hammer spring is all the way to the left, and riding down on the trigger pin. You're not used to a hammer spring leg that can turn toward the center of the receiver. If your trigger pin only has one outer groove, make sure the groove is on the left. It is a stronger hammer spring thickness than standard, they did not just chop a mil spec spring in half. I don't have a tool to measure, but the hammer seems to be under comparable tension to a mil spec hammer. I'll take it on faith that they designed the hammer spring appropriately. This is extremely cool. I hope it lives up to its promise under live fire. I'll be buying more if it does.
