Having an issue so I’m tapping into the brain trust.
I just installed a LAW folder on my AR and I had to use my original buffer retention pin with the shorter spring supplied with the kit. The pin that came with the kit was significantly shorter and “wobbly” in the hole. With the current setup everything cycles (hand) as it should, but the bolt will not cycle when the rifle is upside down. If you turn the rifle back over, right side up, and give it a smack it’ll function. My guess is that the pin is falling out of the hole and binding up the assembly while the rifle is upside down. Once it is flipped back over I’m guessing the pin settles back into the hole. Ideas? Thoughts? |

And you did thread the receiver extension over the outer top flat of the buffer retainer, to just kiss the center post to hold the buffer retaining pin in place when castle nut is tightened down. In some cases, you may have to face the front off the stock tube bottom (receiver extension), so it will index correctly for the stock, as well the end of it to just kiss the center pin of the buffer retainer. Other problems, will be receiver extension not a real firearm one, but one for air soft, where depth void of the tube is too short, and bolt will not cam back far enough to get behind top round in mag. If still lost, then post a photo of the problem. |
