Having an issue so I’m tapping into the brain trust.

I just installed a LAW folder on my AR and I had to use my original buffer retention pin with the shorter spring supplied with the kit.  The pin that came with the kit was significantly shorter and “wobbly” in the hole.  With the current setup everything cycles (hand) as it should, but the bolt will not cycle when the rifle is upside down.  If you turn the rifle back over, right side up, and give it a smack it’ll function.

My guess is that the pin is falling out of the hole and binding up the assembly while the rifle is upside down.  Once it is flipped back over I’m guessing the pin settles back into the hole.

Ideas?  Thoughts?

Thanks for the info.
I’ll take it apart and verify all points.

I feel like such a DA.  I didn’t have the buffer tube in far enough. SMH. 🤦

Thanks

@JustUgh, I have Law Folders on all my AR's.
I use one of these tubes on all of them. They lock that pin in, and help the Law Bolt carrier extension ride better.
