Ive had an arms m68 mount without a spacer and found a good use for it. My eod clone was naked and kept asking for the 552 back.  This here feels balanced now and I can actually open her up now that the Redi mag has been taken off.

And yiss.. Looking to grab two at once this week so I don't have to split time between this rfile and the GCQBR, and I don't have to suffer through two waiting periods.

ETA- I snagged a VTAC Delta after seeing the pics I posted above, because I like the weird small batch PR builds. But after holding it and mocking it up, I am not sure I like it lol.

What exactly didn't you like about it? I'm also considering a g build. There was a beautiful mk8 ddc that I missed getting. Now I've got the bug, and keep looking.

Mounting system is not the most robust. It's a pain to get it aligned in the first place, and then there are no anti-rotation tabs so you end up bumping it out of place at least six times while inserting the metal tabs and aligning them with the corresponding holes in the tube.

I initially torqued each of the four bolts to 45 in/lbs with a drop of blue loctite and I was able to move the rail forceably with my hands after. Realigned, applied another drop of loctite to each bolt and went to 65 in/lbs and there it was solid enough. This isn't a deal breaker on it's own, but I would appreciate if Troy would include some guidance as to the proper values.

And lastly, the tube is too long. I didn't get a sense of this from pics but the tube is 13" and change, closer to 13.5". On a 14.5" this is just a weird look. I don't typically make decisions based solely on aesthetics, but in this case I won't lie- I just did not like the look. It also had a decent amount of flex to it out at the end of the tube.

The sum of these issues was a rail that just didn't give me a good impression.

Now on the other hand, my two favorite rails I own at the moment are a Mk8 and Mk13. G rails for the win- definitely do a G.

Thanks.
Technically, to be “correct” for what I carried, the Surefire Switch would’ve been velcrored to the right side of the 203’s Receiver and the PEQ’s to the left. It should also have a JPoint

No. It’s a legal museum piece. The Flash Hider is pinned and welded making it 16” and there’s no reason I can fathom to put a reall 40mm barrel on it or fire a round out of it (carbine or launcher)

Wow. I'm surprised it was that bad. I've always wanted to try out either a Vtac or Troy rail on a non clone gun, but I may rethink that.

I’ve got a few Vital-2’s and a Vital-100.  They are old but work good.  As far as laser performance the Vital-2 works just as good as my ATPIAL-C’s and DBAL.  The Vital-100 is full power.  It looks like a freaking light saber through NODS when turned up.

Thanks!  I definitely prefer this padded sling to the non-padded Vickers sling on my M16A4 clone.  This one is way more comfortable.
