Also, you're selling a registered SBR lower with that?  You say the upper is unpinned and it sure as shit looks to be attached to that lower in the pics.  If not, nice unregistered SBR!

In either case, stop trying to hawk your overpriced, possibly illegal bullshit here.

Not sure if mine really fits in here anymore, I was going to get a nightforce, but just couldn't pass up the deal on this scope with the reticle.

Anyone have any sweet FSP pictures to get me motivated to put my new rail on my Block 1. Have another Block 1 but it's currently 3k miles away and I'm unsure if I really want to modify the one I have here. Also unsure if I'll put an SF flash hider on or stick with an A2 or KAC QD. I really like the FSP style rails but know deep down all I really want is a KAC MRE.

Here is what I have so far...still needs an optic, and a light (which I have an M3X), and the CQD sling mount isn't on in that pic.  Also I have New lower coming in for it that will be installed once the Form 1 comes in.  Upper and lower will be BCM, so not 100% clone correct, but I am not a huge fan of Colt, so....

That is bad ass! What colors? I'm in FL and love the tan camo rifles but I really need some green and dark browns to blend in. I will have a MK18 mod0 and a
MK12 mod 1 that I am working on and both will get rattle canned when complete if I can build up the nerve!

It's a base of Krylon Camo Tan, then I added random stripes/blotches of Krylon Camo Green.  After that dries for a little bit, I took a cut up mesh laundry bag and laid it over the rifle, then hit some of the tan areas with Aervoe Coyote.

Thank you sir for the upper!! So I found a M4A1 marked colt lower and will be transfering it on fri. Issue is, it doesn't come with trigger. Other the standard colt trigger what other options are kosher? Here's some pics just because.

I'd say the now SOPMOD dubbed Geissele SSA is a good trigger option.

You have a FA lower? Needz Moar pics!

ETA- Unless the SSF works in a semi lower as well? I've never even thought about it before but now that I do, seems like it would still work for semi. The ATF would probably get ass hurt tho

Is the RIS 2 soon to be a grail in the clone world? Like the KAC MRE?

Did DD stop civi distribution for good, or just "until we fill orders for SOCOM"?

Basically, if I'm interested in building a clone in the future, should I pick up my rail now?

They are drying up. It'll be one of the harder items to pick up. I'm pretty sure the rails are being reserved for complete uppers and .mil contracts.

One of the $250 ssf overruns that are pretty much just ssa's. However from what I gather as long as you don't have fa selector switches and the like you should be fine with an ssf.

Yes. Once the contract is wrapped up DD should release the rails for individual sale again.

That's pretty badass. Gets the clone one small step closer to the real deal. I can dig it. I was going to pick up a SSA, but now you got me considering a SSF

Personally I don't think they will ever be put up for individual sale again. I read DD'S post on this topic over and over, and they didn't specify if it would come back for individual sale or not after they took care of our military, but my personal opinion is that the FDE versions won't come back for individual sale. You can still get the FDE RIS II'S if you buy a complete upper from DD tho.

Wouldn't be surprised. Needless to say if you are interested in snagging a RIS II (M4/MK18) you better shoot on sight.

The other 14.5" SOCOM in my non-fsp, recce-ish blockII is right there with it using 75gr.

How hard is it to get the FSB pins out on the Colt SOCOM BBL? Should I go ahead and get one of those FSB blocks to make it easier?

The BCM pins were a huge pain to get out and I basically ruined the FSB punching them out.(Yes I know they're directional and I was going the right way)

I don't use the FSB block. They key is a big punch and a big hammer and going the right direction. You can use a 2x4 with holes drilled out for capturing the pins. I lay the FSB across a barely spread vice and get a buddy to hold while I pound away. Once you get them budging you can swap to a smaller punch.

Not too bad. I had that block from Adco and a taper pin punch and a regular hammer and drove them out without too much fuss. Make sure you have a really hard surface underneath. I put the barrel/block on my concrete basement floor.

For what it's worth, I had a Colt 10.3" Factory barrel and it wasn't hard.

I have a PRI vise block, I used that to support the base, and used a real hammer and they popped right out pretty easily. Had the block on a concrete floor.

I did this with the 2x4 and a big hammer...like other guys have said, make sure you are on a solid surface.

Anyone looking for a KAC Taupe front sight, Trading Place Pawn has them in stock with free shipping.  And you can use promo code "10off".   Just a heads up...

Fuckfuckfuckfuck. I wish I didn't just spend all of this pay periods spending money, cause I need one purdy bad. How much does it come to after the discount? I tried to look it up but my phone won't load their site for some reason.

ETA I got it to work. Damnit, hopefully they stay in stock for awhile

They seem to have them in stock fairly often so I wouldn't worry too much.

At that price, I'm wondering if I should invest in a few more now just to have.

Don't remember if I posted this.  Here is a 14.5" SOCOM bbl upper I rebarreled in Astan for a M4A1.

I really like the FSP style rails but know deep down all I really want is a KAC MRE.

Well guys, I deviated. I sold my Elcan because I was putting the 553 on when plinking or shooting drills, and then swapping out for a Leupold 2.5-8 when shooting further or chasing coyotes, and then I'd put my Elcan back on when I'd get home. So it never got any action, and I found a deal on a Burris XTR II 1.5-8 that was too good to pass up so it will probably live permanently on my Block II. And I'm still gonna post pics of it here so

The leftover funds will be going towards an ATPIAL-C (ideally two of them, one for the Block II and one for the CQBR) and a PVS-14
