I'd be down for a couple of UIUDs as well if there is ever a group buy.
Quick question, I'm in the market for some new glass and I've been eyeing the SpecterDRs but how often do the SU-230s come about or is it not even worth it hunting around for one? I have about another 6 months before I'll really get to shoot my AR again so I don't mind waiting but if the price is crazy more then the civ version (I'm kicking myself for not picking up the 4 pronged flash hiders when they were cheap) not sure if its worth the wait. Also can you use letter punches with a jig to mimic roll marks? Otherwise I have a second 80% that I'll get engraved I guess. Right now I've got everything except the glass, suppressor and a light; waiting on all the paperwork to go through because my friend is holding onto a CQBR upper and RC can for me. Sorry no photos, everything is locked up in my safe far away. EDIT: Oh yea, is a surefire M952/M962 kosher? |

But being yours have the pistol "rocker" backplate, instead of the push button/plug backplate, anybody buying one for a clone would have to hunt down the correct backplate |

View Quote Welp, the comp M2 is more of a standard issue and block 1 optic, although I'd say there has got to be one on a PR somewhere. Can't see that not being the case. I have never seen a PRO (that I've noticed as being a PRO) on any military issued rifle, but it damn sure looks the same as the M2. |

Someone had an m4s on a block 2 and Fin has one on his I believe and I dig it. Depends on how clone correct you want to be though. |

View Quote Is that your video? If so whats up with the placement of the DBAL? It is way far back on the rail and while shooting your (or the person in the video) grip is in front of the DBAL essentially blocking it.1:38 shows it pretty well... also nice vid.. I wish I had people around here I could shoot/train with like that. I can shoot on my own property so I can but it is much more fun with others who are also trained. Running and gunning by yourself gets boring... Only tactical critique I have is not following the military crest when going up that hill from 1:45 and so on, there is some major silhouetting going on there ( if it were real) IRL would be more optimal to stay below the crest to the left until you got closer to the targets then come up and over. ETA: watched some of the other vids were you in 1-25? |

So the DBAL is that far back because when the Elcan is at 1x it blocks less of the sight picture, and when I'm using NVGs my grip changes to closer in on the handguard to work the pressure switch and because I'm no longer looking down the sights, so it no longer blocks the laser. Good catch though. and the military crest was because .... I'm lazy and not very tactical! No I wasn't in 1-25 I was in 3-25. And I'm sorry if you didn't like the song but I do those videos so I can g back and watch them and get amped when I haven't shot in months. And butt-rock gets me pumped! |

Nice! not knocking it at all especially if it works, I just noticed how far back it was mounted then the grip was in front of it. I was in 1-25 in Alaska and your area in AFG seemed.... familiar but then again it basically all looks the same after a while. I'm really digging your vids tho! |

I have one, and put it near the same spot, and have roughly the same grip and it's fine. It sits up higher than you'd think. Also, mounting it further towards the rear helps with the balance, and keeps it from getting too front heavy, especially when running a suppressor. |
