I think it looks badass personally. If anything the whole gun needs that paint job.

And very nice @BOONEA

One of these days ill trade in my TA31/RMR for an Elcan. One of these days. I hope.

Sorry Milspec, it was driving me nuts.  I would paint the lower too but unfortunately it is used with a few other uppers I have and is awaiting a stamp

Just picked up a brand new Peq-16 for the build, selling some things to fund a wmx200 and an rc, then moving on to finishing the mk18.

Looks immaculate well done. I'm just curious why WMX and PEQ-16? Is it the 16A model?

My SOPMOD Block 2 clone won a spot on Brownells' Sunday gun-day. So if you get their emails look for it on Sunday

They even sent me a $25 gift card. Seemed like the appropriate time to order that blue force gear VCAS coyote sling I've been wanting.

I just got wood. Might have to build something similar. A Block 2 would compliment my Mk12 Mod 1 nicely.

The Colt barrel is only a little bit more and has a hand guard cap and barrel nut. Also, the description of the Brownells barrel explicitly states that it does not have the 203 flats (even though the picture shows them) and it is not chrome lined. I think it'd be a good deal if it was $100 less.

It just wouldn't be very Stukas without a spray line here and a spray line there. You now know my vote.

Damn that looks good!  I know you said you weren't running a light when you were deployed to cut back on weight and a couple other reasons.  Are you going to be adding a light to this one?

Also throw some paint on that work horse!

I hate how they organize their parts sometimes. I ordered a couple buffer tubes for the H. The pics showed one with a vertical rear portion (meaning it's milspec), but got some commercial ones with a vertical rear that I've never seen. Luckily their return policy is super easy (as long as the package is <1 pound), but they've had my wrong tubes for over a week and I haven't seen the correct ones or a refund.

Ugh. That would definitely piss me off.

I would say go with Brownells but they're kind of steep. If that refund does come in the EE might be for the best. Can usually get Colt tubes for cheap on there, or something like BCM if you want 6 POS.

I've got a 6-pos on there now but I wanted a 4, because clone.

I have found a few (Colt even) tubes in the EE but have been waiting to see what Numrich does.

If the price is good I say snag them. Worst comes to worse do a chargeback on your CC since they have your money and your misrepresented/undescribed parts.

That is absolutely stupid they didn't mention they were commercial spec. Who the fuck even wants commercial spec tubes anymore?

Used my debit card so I'm not sure how they handle that. I'm not sweating it too much though.

I make things even more confusing, I went looking for more and they've got an obviously commercial tube labeled as "M16/M4" under manufacturer.

Lol looks like we found a job opening at Numrich. Makes you wonder if its just some bodies wife that does inventory on the website or something.

Yep, M4 made this. Looks like M16 made this. Oh this looks a little less scary, this must have been made by AR.

I can't entirely blame them as these tubes had a straight back end on them so they looked like mil spec ones, but identifying AR parts shouldn't be that hard these days.

All personal taste.  I dislike the VCAS however and stick to a standard USGI sling.  Get what you like.

I like the 240 sling as it has a pussy pad on it. Not crazy about the standard web sling tho. I just find it to be outnumbered by better options. Now that I think about it, if it was wider like the current sling I'm using on my CQBR I think I would like it a lot more.

But you've been using that sling for decades so I can see why you'd like it more.

The one on the right is way more comfortable for me (no padding)

Yes and it does have a built in white light supposedly somewhere around 100 lumens but I think I'm going to end up selling or trading this for a peq15 down the road as the 15 is a little slimmer.

Gotcha. Yeah just the 16 by itself would be correct for a USMC SOF Block II but I do understand on the slimness part. Just FYI if you do trade it, your 16 is worth more than a 15 is. Just to make sure you don't get boned on a straight across trade. PEQ-16s are pretty hard to track down  compared to 15's.

I've got most of my Block II together and was looking for some insight on the direction to go with my FH and suppressor.  I currently have a SOCOM 14.5 barrel pinned with a FA556-212A FH (which I've seen a couple of builds with) and was looking at picking up the matching FA556-212 FDE suppressor.  My question is do I mill the pin off and instead install a SF3P-556 FH and get a SOCOM RC can?  If I stayed with the FA556-212 suppressor would the 4 prong FH556-215A be more correct?

Is there a big difference in the FA556-212 and SOCOM RC can?

Thanks!

Or... leave the 212a mount, get a SOCOM can and just run it non indexed.

9/10 for non colt lower

I'm at 8/10 for Daniel Defense lower and Daniel Defense Flash Hider Really 7/10 for a KAC micro instead of a full size for a non USMC clone. Could throw on my Matech, but ya know. Anyone want to trade a full size KAC 2-6 or KAC 300 for a micro 2-6 and Matech?

That looks like a MOE stock, rather than a CTR stock. Are MOE in the supply chain, or is that a private purchase?
