Greyfoxg posted a picture on Instagram the other day of a Ranger with a 14.5" Block II with a M4-2000. I assume that it came from their SCARs. Pretty cool to see as I'd never seen that combo before. Any other pictures of Block IIs or URG-Is with M4-2000s out there? |

So I have yet to see a single pic of an actual M4-2000 in use. The pic you are referring to is, like you touched on, a SCAR-SD. The M4-2000 does have an NSN, and while that doesn't mean much, I do believe that there was some unit purchases made. I've heard / seen multiple people mentioned they used that can while in service. Units like Army sniper sections. However, I haven't come across any pictures in my searches and we know that services members aren't always a reliable source. |

Thoughts? Matech are simultaneously cheaper feeling but nicer to use. They default to the up position which is preferred and the elevation/windage feels really close to a carry handle. My Eotech died three mags in at Clone Rifles, so I replaced it with a 2007 manufactured TA31 RCO that Thoroughbred had for sale. Really like how it looks, an SU-237 is definitely gonna look fantastic on the prototype build once I track one down. |

Question on torque wrench oritnetatio when torque RIS II barrel nut: are the given ft/lbs values based on the torque wrench being in line, or or parallel to the wrench tool? If parallel, what is the proper orientation? In the same direction torque is applied, or the opposite direction? |

@combat_diver do you, or anyone else know which is the correct tangodown VFG for the block ii package? I know the BGV mk46(Surefire tape switch compatible) was selected earlier as part of the SCAR equipment package; but with so many of the phased replacement equipment coming from ITI(optics, lights and lasers) that was used during the slow rollout of the block 2 suite, was the Mk46 carried over to the block 2 suite, or was the BGV-ITI grip selected? Both have NSNs |

Still working on my RC1 approval, and need to save up for an su230 for the 14.5, but here are my twins Scored a NOS 14.5, C MP stamped SOCOM profile barrel for the 14.5, and a nos crane 10.3 GI barrel for the cqbr. non nsn 4 prong on the 14.5, when I find another I’ll swap the nsn marked one on the cqbr Attached File |
