I'm hoping the 9.25" feels closer to the 9" then then 9.5". |

Mine arrived today. -Plastic feels good -Metal lining is not visible like a Lancer, but I confirmed it with a magnet, runs past the magazine detent. -Loads easily using a Lula, seats easily on closed bolt w full 40rd -Just a bit shorter then 40rd PMAG, doesn't look crazy long in rifle

I unloaded mine tonight by hand, rounds fed out smoothly with good spring pressure. Empty magazine was tested in my rifle and it locked back the bolt when hand cycling. Field strip was easy. Magazine uses a 15 coil spring and interesting AK style anti tilt follower, which interfaces with a groove inside the magazine body.  Internal magazine body is nice and smooth, no plastic flashing / crap in there to cause drag or snag the follower.  Fridge magnet sticks to the body, showing the steel lining. The tip of my knife blade is where the steel lining ends, this is the area right before the raised grip texturing begins.  When pressing into the rim of the cartridge with my thumbnail, the round will not pop out, but it will move laterally off the feed lips; this does not happen with a Lancer magazine. So far this is the only weakness I've seen.  When inserted into the rifle, the MWG 40 is 10.75" from bottom edge of the mag to top of rifle rail, vs 11" and a hair for the PMAG 40. On paper a really small difference, but for some reason visually when the 2 mags are in my rifle, the PMAG looks longer. Hoping to go shooting this Wed and will see how the MWG handles FRT. |

| Got my order in yesterday. Loaded 2 up. Dropped them on the floor in the basement, carpet over concrete. Every other drop the top round moved forward about 1/4 inch. I thought the top round would pop out since the rounds wanted to pop out from under the feed lips when loading. Need to get out and do some testing. |

Went to the range today with the MWG mags, took two of them fully loaded. They functioned perfectly with slow and rapid fire. No malfunctions at all. One thing to note that when fully loaded with 40 rounds they are hard to seat on a closed bolt. Took a firm smack to get them to seat on a closed bolt. Rifle used was my suppressed 16 in Midlength build. Totally worth $6 a piece, and I now wish I bought 10 instead of 6
