Normally I'd use PPS-43 mags but with the 147gr projo to OAL is significantly longer. I've been using normal AR mags which have about 0.46" of extra space in front of the nose of the projo. If rounds get knocked forward they can cause feeding issues.   Anyone run into a similar issue and find a solution? |

Is that 7.65x25 loaded with .30cal rifle bullets? Neat. Something you could try is design a customer shorter follower, or just cut the front off the current one, and then design an insert to put down the front of the mag to fill up that extra space. There's also this, but it looks like it just leaves enough space for the round nose ammo. I run out of case capacity around 1000FPS with 180s. It's been a difficult road to finding a powder that will fully burn in 8" and cycle the action being a DI build. OAL of the cartridge is 1.700". I looked at some of that type of mod stuffing something into the front spine. I just started the 3D printer with a 3 piece mag body that hopefully will work. Used the Waffle 2.0 mag as my base, modified the STEP files to take up room in the front and modified the follower. Was hoping for something off the shelf but if I have to print a dozen of these (at 21hrs a pop for all 6 pieces) so be it. I'll release the prints on the Odd Sea if it works. |
