What are your opinions thoughts and reviews on the Maxim PDX 7.62x39 pistol?
Any good? Reliable? Is the BCG bigger and beefier to handle the bigger 7.62x39??? Thanks

I was hoping to see some guys chime in. When these first came out I thought they were really neat. But havent seen too much on them. The price also still seems high for something that been around for 4-5 years.

Maxim defense is fine - the fit and finish is good, but I’m not sure exactly what you’re getting vs building your own (if you have that capacity). They’re more money than they’re worth in my opinion.

I have a Maxim Defence PDX pistol kit. Im waiting to find a lower to build it out. The bolt isn't beefied. Im not sure of the material its made from. Attached File

I have a couple of the PDX SBRs, one in 7.62x39mm.  I haven't shot it a lot, but really enjoy it.  It hasn't had any reliability issues and is pretty accurate.  Surprisingly, it's softer shooting than a full size AK, in my experience.

A friend of mine has one.  It is a lot of fun to shoot.  It made me want to put together an AR pistol like one.  But I did a 300 BO SBR instead.  Still very enjoyable.  He had 20 round Duramags and didn't have any issues.
