Either a 6920 or 6921 cutdown to 10.3", .070 gas port (done by adco), kac ris, colt side sling swivel, eotech su231, eotech pineapple magnifier, arms #38ex, colt 4 pos r.e., lmt gen 1 stock, insight peq5 cvl, lonestar ord stowaway 2 grip. RRA lower. Colt bcg. Colt square forge upper. I think that's about it.

Nice! Are you going full eod with xps3-0 and lt110? I just saw that combo in the ee for a decent price if you don't already have it. I want to know what the hell they did to bend the crap out of the mount for the rail. Those bottom screws definitely aren't straight.Attachment Attached File

The closed tine hider and the DD mission configurable grip are why I think the AF has the best MK18s.  It's how mine is set up.

Open tine hiders are the devils work any place except the open desert.  Try cutting a trail through woods or jungle or walking through even moderate brush with an open tine hider and you've discover what real frustration is.

PSA M4A1 (Property of US Govt...) stripped lower special now for seventy beans...Link
I read here CD built one clone out of them...

Question for a CQBR Block I..
1. Which upper receiver marking/forging is more appropriate? Keyhole, Square, AF, Diemaco?
2. Is there any Colt barrel date code time period (C MP, cage coded) or pretty much open?
3. CQD front, FSB bottom sling swivel, or side sling swivel?

Thank you..

M16A4 clone and CQBR clone have PSA clone lowers (M16A4/M4A1).  Middle one I haven't done yet.  Second M4A1 receiver, I'm going to SBR for a Block II 10.3"

Answers:
1.  Replaceable item and all used
2.  Barrels wear out and replaced as needed.  So, a current CQBR could have either.
3.  CQD side mount and rear receiver end plate.
4.  LMT if doing a Navy clone, Matech acceptable if Army.

Both of my uppers on mine are cut down 6920s by Adco.  That's a great way start.

Thanks for the heads up. I didn't end up getting one when they were first released ($49), so this price wasn't too bad. I also found out my local hardware store has an ffl and only charges $25 for transfers, unlike my lgs that charges $75. Win, win, win situation.

I know, right? I went to buy a Glock last spring, and the lgs was charging $100 over msrp for all of their glocks. Went to Dunham's, and found a 19x that was $550 after a 50 dollar off coupon.

Figure theres no better place to ask this:  Is the DD Mk18 RIS II FSP still a sought after variant amongst the clone community? Ive seen a handful of M4 RIS II rails chopped but only a few real ones around.  Last one I remember selling in the EE was Black_Rifles a few years ago.

I mean for cloning it was never used but it's just one of those things w/ a high demand so they usually command a premium for the originals. Sorta like the GL/SSC. Just less.

I'm hoping surplus parts flood the market and cause prices to go down on some of the more expensive/ harder to find accessories like the wmx200 and peq2a's.

eta-2012 in AFG. At least one person liked to rock the RX01NSN.  I love that old school look!

By m4 mount, do you mean the one with the two big knobs? Or the one with qd levers from a.r.m.s.?

I'll look through my parts and see if I have an extra one. Mines on the arms mount, and at one point I had two of the m4 mounts. I'll let you know if I know what I find.

Just got the upper back from D Wilson, they chopped the Colt SOCOM barrel to 10.3". Very fast turnaround time, I think it was about a week. They do a great job and I highly recommend them if you need work done! This upper has an original Daniel Defense Mk18 FSP rail (not a cut down replica) and a legit CQBR receiver. I absolutely love this build and can't wait to get an SBR lower for it (the lower will be sometime from @techno_000 (https://intlmilco.com/)).

The Onyx Uppers are alright. Nothing to write home about. The only real note worthy features are the deep stamp "C" and older triangle proof stamping Colt used to do.

More Mk18 FSP rails, post some pics!!! Not too many of these builds out there, it's always good to see them! What are you guys running for optics? I have no idea if any Block II stuff is gtg or if these rifles used something specific.

I haven't seen any FSPs so your pretty much good to run whatever. Similar to GL/SSCs. They are some slick builds.

I just meant my dated rails. No fsp rails here. I did have a cutdown m4 fsp ris ii for a while.

Nicely done.

Does anyone else remember those RIS II FSPs sitting on Rainier Arms for over a year with next to no one buying them in ~2010? I remember considering putting one on an M4 but thinking (as I still do) that my drop-in RAS was fine enough. How I wish I would've bought three...

Yeah, post up when you do. I don't mind salt, just hate upper/lower wobble. Every "surplus" upper I've picked up from TB/IG stores have had clapped out lugs.
Surprisingly, this upper has a tighter fit than my current Colt upper. I'll end up swapping out later this week.

No no, just the standard Mk18 rail lol.
B2 accessories would make sense, but than again it was never a fielded item. T&E than dropped.

I wasn't around at the the time, but I recently read an archived thread where someone was attempting to convince dd to do a small run for a group buy, and someone else in the thread brought up the same thing about them just sitting at Ranier arms. It's not desirable until you can't have it.
