So I know what the majority of answers I get from this question will be, but please humor me...

Looking at getting a sling for the CQBR...
Looking at Magpul... Want the clip in the front for a CQD mount and Im thinking of running it w/ QD Socket in the rear. My question is how durable are those QD sockets on the B5s?
I've read of a couple people breaking the sockets, but not particularly on the B5 stocks.
Would these sockets hold up to hard use? Or just swap out the end receiver plate with one that has a loop such as the CQD rear or a Magpul?

It'll hold up just fine for civilian use. I had a gen 2 LMT and a gen 2 B5 before my gen 1 LMT, and the sockets were well..... (impregnated? ) on both.

A CQD or ASAP end plate are both clone correct and a stronger option by default. I've tried QD in the past and just don't like it, prefer HK hooks on both single a 2 points even tho I've developed a hatred for single points the last 2 years or so.

But the trade off is QD "clasps" are stronger than HK hooks themselves, although again, definitely not going to break that from civilian use either.

I will do it for the low low price of all of your Mk12 or B1/B2/Colt parts.

Drew- your USPS sucks dick. Now my package is delayed even further. Fuck heads.
To contain my rage I think I will post some off topic content mixed in with a low quality shit-tastic blanket pic.

Had one failure today after 2100 rounds of not cleaning the gun besides running a dry boresnake through every 800~1k and just adding more oil to the BCG. Had a stuck casing and had to mortar to clear it out. No other failures for the remainder but I decided to clean out the gun at the end of the day. I did notice some significant wear on the blast baffle of the can, I'll get pictures of it after the class is over.

Vid is private smiggy.

Alpha squirrel, they're cheater devices, that's what. I ran one for a while in 2012ush, ended up trading it off because it was becoming a crutch, and I'd rather be able to manipulate a standard AR/M4 quickly if that makes sense.

No it was earlier in the day. The point of that is using the option to drop or retain for transitions.

Basically, pay for shipping both ways, be cool with the fact that it's not going to be perfect like it rolled off a C&C machine, and be willing to wait a week or so turn around time (shouldn't take that long, but I am in the military, and sometimes my clock is set for me.)

And Zakk, no worries bro.

Did he happen to say "drive the weapons system" during any of the courses?

Yea, without the sling, I'd imagine making hits at those distances one handed is less that ideal.

That's some great work done right there.

thanks? lol

I think you meant my work at buying 10 of those ris II fsp rails and selling for nearly no profit is great work.

Conspiro does the cutting lol.

Sit back and enjoy the free props.
I still need to snag one and throw it on my CQBR. That would free up an M4 RAS, which would undoubtedly turn into another build. This is a fucked up cycle we live in.

Alpha squirrel, they're cheater devices, that's what. I ran one for a while in 2012ush, ended up trading it off because it was becoming a crutch, and I'd rather be able to manipulate a standard AR/M4 quickly if that makes sense.

Well, when I would be exchanging fire with Terry's, I will take any "crutch" I can get.

It wasn't an attack on you bro. I was poking fun at Cheese for what he said on youtube, and you were the furthest person from my mind when I posted it, and had no idea you even used bad levers. Not sure why you took it that way....

Basically, pay for shipping both ways, be cool with the fact that it's not going to be perfect like it rolled off a CNC machine, and be willing to wait a week or so turn around time (shouldn't take that long, but I am in the military, and sometimes my clock is set for me.)

And Zakk, no worries bro.

Can they anodize over anodizing? I'm a metalworker, but no expert on anodizing. I would think it would need to be stripped to do that though. Assuming it even can be stripped...

Not sure if it would be worth it, you would have to remove the steel helicoils in the rail.

All the smaller stuff gets here in 2 days from ship date, but the most important shipment gets delayed for God knows how long.....my life is so predictable.

Now that you got my parts. I have the rail... I'm thinking 11.5" w/ the cut rail. But then I'll be out of the m4a1 game. But then I could do a PR as well. Godddammmnit.... I'm trying to have some self control.

Haha yea... I wanted to rebuild the CQBR on that receiver. I'll get another though. The rainer one I have now seems a lil out of spec.
